Top 3 - Highlights

{left to right: ABH Forever Lit, Nude By Nature in Moonlight, Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops in Moonlight}

Hey loves.
Long time no post. Been busy with work and relationship troubles. We all have a life outside of blogging that sometimes isn't so easy and perfect.
Forgetting about that for a while I want to talk about my top three favorite highlighters, one of these being a rather new edition.

ABH Forever Lit - This shade is from the Nicole Guerriero collab that was done a few years back. While I adore the whole palette this is the shade that works best on for my pale skin. It looks absolutely stunning when applied to the cheekbones and I always receive compliments when I wear it. Beware though powder can bring texture to the surface.

Nude By Nature Beach Glow Liquid Highlighter in the shade Moonlight - This was recently gifted to me. My manager thought it was a lip gloss, haha. We had a good laugh over that. Again a stunning tone that has a subtle pink reflect. It's liquid so be careful as it's easy to over apply and then you're left looking like a disco ball.

Cover FX Custom Enahncer Drops in the shade Moonlight - Moonlight seems to be a popular shade name for highlights. I adore this! This shade is a touch too dark for my skin though so I really have to blend it in and be cautious when applying, it's incredibly easy to over do it with this little guy. I would love to try out the shade Halo though. It looks beautiful!

Do you prefer cream or liquid highlights?

Peter Thomas Roth - Anti Aging Cleansing Gel

Good morning loves.

Before Christmas I was in Sephora and had some points to spend so I grabbed this mini skincare saviors set from Peter Thomas Roth. I'd never tried the brand before and thought it'd be a great idea as there were a variety of different skin care samples. (this was 500 points, for minis....)

I loved just about everything I tried. The cleanser priced at $47 CAD for the full size while good I find to be expensive. It does a fantastic job of wiping your face away at the end of a long day and perks you up with it's citrus smell. It didn't dry out my skin but I've read complaints on other sites that it does dry out the skin so maybe my moisturizer is finally heavy enough to do it's job properly. If you're looking for a luxurious feeling face wash and don't mind shelling out some extra dollars then this is definitely worth trying out but again for me it's just a bit too pricey.

Blogmas Day 2 - Beauty Gift Guide

Hello loves.

Blogmas day 2 is a beauty gift guide, I've already done a fashion one here.

Let's get to it shall we!

Tom Ford Lipstick - For me, these are too luxuriously priced to just grab on a visit to the shops so I would love to receive one as a gift.

ABH Mini Gloss set - I always love gift sets around Christmas time and these glosses look perfect for the holiday season.

ABH Brow Duo - This is a great gift as the products are full size and are the same price for two as one normally is.

Fenty Mini Set - These mini sets are great for someone who's been wanting to try a brand but is hesitant to buy a full size product for fear of it not working out.

Lash Set - Lashes are always a great gift!

Stila Eye Glitter Set - Again, a nice way to try out a product without having to pay full price for the full size.

What's on your Christmas wish list?

Perfect Reds #1 - KVD Outlaw

Good morning loves!

Red lipstick is my signature. I love red lips and can be found rocking one at least four out of seven days a week. I figured why not start a series called the "Perfect Reds" which highlights my favorite reds from my ever expanding lipstick collection.

The first one I want to talk about is Kat Von D's Everlasting Liquid Lip in the shade "Outlaw."
It's a very bright matte red, which you can't see in the swatch as I didn't let it dry down completely.
It's absolutely stunning especially on pale skin tones. The only gripe I have with KVD liquid lipsticks is that they are one of the most drying formulas I've ever tried so I'd recommend using a lip balm before applying.

What's your favorite Everlasting Liquid Lip shade?

Cover FX - Highlighting Drops

Hello loves!

On my last Sephora trip I used my points to grab a sample of the Cover FX Custom Enhancer drops. The only shade they had available was Moonlight which although looks quite dark straight out of the tube is absolutely beautiful when blended. The full size retails for $52 CAD which is quite expensive if you ask me. With how little product you need to use though it would last you ages. This sample alone will probably take me a year to get through. This is such a stunning highlight that can be subtle (as subtle as a metallic highlighter can be)  or out of this world, blinding. I prefer a blinding highlight myself but that's what makes this so great is that it can be used however you like. You could mix it in with your foundation or moisturizer as well but I think it's a bit too glittery for that. We don't want our whole face shining like a disco ball, do we? Maybe some do but not I.
I would consider buying the full size even though I don't agree with the price point because it's one of my favorite highlights I've ever tried. I'd love to try out the shade Halo next.

What's your favorite highlight?

Top Three - Summer Nail Shades

Good morning loves!

Summer's here and the bright colors are out!
I wanted to share my top three favorite summer polish shades with you. I love white nails year round. They're classy, simple and work with everything.

Essie's Blanc is my current one but I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for a different brand as I find Essie far too overpriced. You can read my full thoughts here.

Sephora's Polish in "Keep Me Posted." I thought I had a review of this up but I guess I don't, maybe I'll put one up! This shade reminds me of mermaids and the ocean. It's a stunning teal and I can't get enough of it.

Elf's Polish in I believe it's called Mango Madness. This is such a bright fun coral color. It screams summer time to me. I find it looks better on darker skin tones but that won't keep me from wearing it.

What are your favorite summer shades?

KVD Everlasting Liquid Lip Collection

  {left to right: Lolita II, Mother & Outlaw}

Hello loves!
Has anyone lost one of their favorite lipsticks? Well, this recently happened to me with Lolita. I used to own the original and of course I went out one night and it was never to be seen again.

Although I don't have a large KVD lip collection her formula and colors are some of my favorites. You can bet that this obsession will continue to build.

I only own three currently. I guess four if you count the Lolita I lost. Such a shame.

Lolita II - Though not as lovely as the original Lolita it's still a lovely color that wears well with multiple looks.

Mother - A gorgeous pink. This one happens to my least favorite of the three. Nothing against the formula though. I just tend to either gravitate more towards nudes or reds.

Outlaw - My absolute favorite. If you know me you know red is my signature color. This is the perfect cool toned red that looks great with my pale, ghastly skin!

 Albeit, the KVD formula being quite drying her color range is impressive and anyone should be able to find a color that suits their needs. I can't wait to add more of these to my collection. I believe there were even new shades added to the range this year.

Who makes your favorite liquid lip?

NOTD - Sephora {Spread The Word}

I swear, I'll never get the hang of painting my nails.
But, I can't be bothered with fakes although they look stunning and I'd love to try out a marble set. Maybe during summer, we'll see.

Sephora's Spread the Word is a bright fuchsia, more of a summer color but it's okay to break the rules sometimes right?
This polish has a wide brush making it easy to coat the nail in one swipe. Opaque this color only needs one coat in all honesty but I always apply two no matter what I'm wearing. We're on the third day with only minimal chipping around the nail bed, not bad! Comparing to Essie which usually ends up chipping before the end of the first day. Not to mention, I didn't use a base or top coat with this.
I think the Sephora brand has a lot of gems. Their nail polish has a great formula, opaque color and smooth application for a decent price.

What's your favorite polish brand?

NOTD - Essie Blanc & Sephora Party Animal

Hello loves!

Oh, white nail polish you are the most unforgiving of colors when it comes to rushed application.
Using Essie's Blanc as a base I wanted to try out my Sephora glitter polish in the shade "Party Animal." Tis the season for festive glitter right?
As you can see in the photo (only a couple hours later) the accent nail is already smudged. You guys already know how I feel about Essie polishes so I won't go into much detail about that.
Party Animal has various chunks of glitter suspended throughout it and when applying the glitter is so sporadically spread out on the nail that even with multiple coats I found it extremely difficult to get an even finish. There's a reason I prefer solid colors as I find them easier to work with and less of a pain to remove.

Do you prefer glitter or solid colors?

First Foray - Contouring & Highlighting

Firstly, let me apologize for the not so terrific photo quality. With it being winter natural light has not been in my favor and I struggled for a good hour trying to take these making for a very frustrating experience.

I picked this up last week and I've never owned any other Contour products making the Shade & Light palette my first foray into the world of contouring & highlighting. I've been using it steadily for a week now and thought I'd share my thoughts and first experience.

It's composed of three light shades for highlighting and three darker shades for contouring, both which are meant to help bring dimension to the face. It included a sheet detailing where you should highlight and where you should contour to help define your features which for someone like me whose never done it I found it to be a very helpful addition.

The third lightest shade matches my skin tone perfectly making me unable to use it for highlighting and the darkest shade is far too dark, I did make attempts to use it but I would have been blending for days for it to even look slightly natural.

My favorite shade to highlight with is Lyric as I have yellow undertones in my skin and for shading I like to use the first two bottom shades (Sombre & Shadowplay) although if I use too much of Shadowplay it can start to look muddy on the face.

These don't swatch as well as they apply to the face. When applied to the face they are smooth and buttery although I find it does take a bit more work than I'd like to blend them out and if using a brush there is slight fallout, some shades being worse than others (the two middle shades ) Using my Real Techniques Complexion sponge  while wet I find makes everything blend easier. I use Lyric as well to set my under eye concealer as it really brightens up the area and helps the concealer underneath to not crease but if you don't use a good moisturizer it can be quite drying.

You can easily mix colors together to get a color perfectly suited to you. This is a universally flattering palette that is great for beginners like myself and if like me you can't find a use for a certain shade on your skin these could be used as neutral eye shadows so they don't go to waste.
Creates a lovely natural look, great for everyday.
Although it may be a gimmick I would like to try it out with the Kat Von D shade and light contour brush as well to see how it fairs.

For my first experience in the world of contouring it was pretty good but I would like to try other kits as well, maybe the Cream Contour kit from Anastasia Beverly Hills will be next.

What is your favorite product to use for contouring?

Skincare --- fresh

A few months back it was my birthday and naturally being a makeup lover the first place I headed was Sephora for the birthday gift. This year you had a choice between a Marc Jacobs set including I think it was an eyeliner and a lipstick, could have been a mascara or lipstick I can't quite remember. Or the fresh set which included a deluxe sample of the Fresh Soy Face Cleanser & a sample of the Fresh Rose Face Mask

My monthly skincare budget will definitely be increasing after trying this cleanser. I've used many face products, mostly drugstore as I can't afford to splash out on everything. Nothing until now has removed my makeup like this does! It removes makeup like a dream and keeps my skin moisturised even though EVERY other cleanser I've tried has sucked any moisture out. If it weren't for the temper mental temperatures in Alberta I'd say this is moisturizing enough to not have to use moisturizer after the fact.
I've been using this daily for the past week to cleanse and after the first use I couldn't believe how much makeup was removed in one swipe and I wear pretty heavy eye makeup day to day. Not many cleansers have been able to get off makeup so well or smoothly. Stubborn eye makeup say good-bye. Most of the other products I've used I've had to go in with a face wipe as well to get everything off and had to scrub my eyes which we all know isn't good for you.
Using daily I haven't seen any redness or break outs and it was very mild feeling on the skin, didn't even make my eyes irritated or red like many others do. I would recommend it to any sensitive skinned folks.

Now...the not so fantastic product, the Fresh Rose Face Mask, pictured below.

I've almost used it up but I found that all this did for my skin was make it feel nice and cool as it soaked in. Other than that this did nothing for me and the fact the rose scent smelled a bit like vomit to me was a major turn off.
This mask is rated quite highly on the Sephora website and I don't see why. This claims to help dryness, redness & pores. For me it didn't fix or even help any of those problems.
The mask is infused with real rose petals which is a nice touch, I'll give them that.

What products from fresh should I try next? What are your favorites?

CURRENTLY SAMPLING....PERFUME

Perfume samples are one of my favorite things

They last for quite a long time if they're  a strong scent which the above are and I have a hard time paying a large amount of money unless I fall head over heels for a scent sso it's nice to try before you buy.

I've had these for a while the only reason they haven't been completely used up yet is because I have a lot of body sprays that I use on a daily rotation so I put these to the side and kind of forgot about them for a while.

I received all of these with different Sephora orders, the scents are;

Marc Jacobs Mod Noir and Decadence
Viktor&Rolf Spicebomb

Mod Noir {The airy floral fragrance opens with a field of lush, dewy greens, which give way to freshly cut gardenias floating atop sparkling water. Creamy musks leave a sensual dry down on the skin.- Sephora Description} - The notes are Greens, Gardenia, Creamy Musks.

Mod Noir is nice but I wouldn't purchase it for myself as I didn't love it. It smelled more musky to me than anything and the hint of florals was very very subtle. For $110 CAD I wouldn't get enough wear out of this to justify purchasing it.

Spicebomb {An explosive encounter between two accords with detonating tones: the first, explosive, fuses zesty, fresh notes while the cold spices leave their icy bite. The second, addictive, combines a middle note of incandescent spices with a wholly masculine combination of leather and tobacco as well as the brute force of vetiver. - Sephora} - The notes;
Bergamot, Grapefruit, Cinnamon Leaf, Pink Pepper, Lavandin, Chilli, Saffron, Elemi, Vetiver, Balsam Fir, Tobacco Accord, White Leather Accord.}

I'm not going to lie and pretend like I knew this was a men's scent because I didn't...and I have worn it on myself and I actually really love the smell. Knowing that it's a men's scent won't change the fact that I'll continue to wear it! Wear whatever you like, everything can be unisex if you want it to be. The bottle is really interesting too as it's designed to look like a grenade! There is a lot of different notes with a lot of variety which gives this that explosive smell.

Decadence { A sensual, luxurious, and woody fragrance, Decadence embodies the spirit of irreverent glamour. The fragrance opens with sultry top notes of Italian plum, iris flower, and saffron. The heart combines luxurious notes of Bulgarian rose, jasmine sambac, and orris. The indulgent dry down reveals the base notes of vetiver, papyrus woods, and liquid amber. - Sephora} - The notes; Italian Plum, Iris Flower, Saffron, Bulgarian Rose, Jasmine Sambac, Orris, Vetiver, Papyrus Woods, Liquid Amber.

Say hello to glamour in a bottle. This is by far one of the most gorgeous perfumes my olfactory senses have come across and the bottle would look beautiful on the vanity as it's a designed to look like a Marc Jacobs bag, it even includes a strap to carry it around. My fiance described this as musky and he is not wrong it's got a heavy muskiness to but not to the point where it completely over powers the other notes so it still smells feminine. I'd describe the scent as one that is sexy and sultry. A little spritz on each wrist is more than enough as it can be easy to over do it with this one. This will one day be part of my collection as everything about it is to die for.

What are your favorite scents?
 - please comment if you read, I really would love to connect with more people!

Too Faced - Le Grand Palais

Hey everyone!
This post was very delayed and by that I mean this palette came out in Christmas of 2015 and I'm only writing it about now...
 Why, you ask?
 I just didn't get much use out of it until recently but I still wanted to share my thoughts with you guys.

Too Faced is known for their impeccable shadows. I have a few other Too Faced palettes that I adore and use all the time. So naturally when I saw this come out at Christmas, despite all the mixed reviews on it I thought hey why not? and went ahead and purchased it as a gift to myself. Being a Holiday Release this was limited edition and a Sephora exclusive and it retailed for $75 CAD which I don't think is outrageous as you get a considerable amount of product in the palette itself as well as three deluxe sized samples, including a "Better Than Sex" mascara, "Melted Peony" liquified lipstick and the Too Faced Shadow Insurance primer.

The only Too Faced products I had tried before this palette previously were other eye shadow palettes so I really enjoyed getting the sample products as a way to test some other products from the brand. This may be the unpopular opinion but I hated the Better Than Sex Mascara the brush was almost bigger than my eye itself and I found it hard to scrape all the excess off of it which left me with extremely clumpy and goopy lashes, I don't understand they hype around that product at all. The liquid lipstick I adored although I think for a holiday palette though they could have chosen a more winter appropriate shade. Melted Peony to me is not a color I'd rock in the snow but I have been getting lots of use out of it this summer. I've been using a primer from Coastal Scents so I only used the Shadow Insurance once but I was blown away by how vibrant it made the shadows and there was not even the tiniest bit of creasing either after eight hours!

On to the actual palette...

Too Faced aced the outer packaging on this, love the little box its housed in and the decoration including the Sephora bag and Too faced Chocolate bar palette! As with all Too Faced products I've come across the packaging on this is super cute! My only gripe with the packaging is that the palette is in a cardboard case and instead of using the side with no products for a mirror they decided to just use it as decoration. There is more than enough space for a mirror and decoration I just don't understand why they didn't utilizie it better, I mean this could have been a perfect travel palette if a mirror was included.

Including the larger pans there are 18 eye shadows, 2 blushes, a highlight and a bronzer. A large quantity of product but is the quality there?

{left to right: White Christmas, Satin Sheets and Vintage Lace}

White Christmas: Very powdery with little pigmentation. You really have to build this one up for any color payoff.

Satin Sheets: This shadow is included in the Too Faced Boudoir palette which I also own. The lighting in this shot makes it look very white but it's not. It's a very sheer slightly shimmery pale pink champagne color. The swatch didn't do this color justice I really love this shade, no it's not pigmented but the shimmer really makes it an eye catching shade.

Vintage Lace: A yellow toned base shade. It's quite powdery but the pigment is pretty good.

{left to right - Delightful, Moon On Their Wings, Cobblestone, City Lights & Dreamlight}

Delightful: Pale pink, lots of shimmer. This one took a lot to build up but felt very buttery to the touch and had little to no fall out. Makes a great highlighting shade!

Moon On Their Wings: Shimmer finish, light gold. Again a very buttery shade but not a lot of pigment just a lot of shimmer.

Cobblestone: Gorgeous, gorgeous matte crease shade. I love this color, I've been using this almost daily as my go to. It's buttery and blends beautifully! It's highly pigmented though so be sure to not use too much too quickly.

City Lights: Another perfect matte shade. I used this on my crease today and is perfect just like Cobblestone. The mattes in this palette are amazing. I honestly wish Too Faced would sell singles because I would buy this and Cobblestone over and over again!

Dreamlight: This shade looks almost matte in the swatch but it does have a slight hint of shimmer to it. Very pigmented and little fallout.

{left to right - String of Lights, Yule Log, Wish List, Arc De Triomphe, Belle Femme}

String of Lights:  This is one of the worst shades of all. Patchy, zero pigmentation. This swatch took about 15 layers. This was just a complete waste in my opinion.

Yule Log: This looks black but I assure you it's not. In the pan it's a dark brown with flecks of gold shimmer throughout which look non existent above. This was patchy and i feel like you really had to push to get it to transfer to the skin.

Wish List: My favorite in the palette. A marvelous gold and I'm a sucker for a golds. Pigmented, buttery and blendable. Perfect gold in my eyes.

Arc De Triomphe: A shimmery rose gold. I used this as an inner highlight today and on the eyes it definitely leans more golden. This one had quite a bit of fallout but is a very pretty shade and is easily buildable for more pigment.

Belle Femme: A dark brown matte. This one was a tad more patchy then the other two matte shades but is still a great matte. Great for darkening the crease.

{left to right: Stiletto, Eiffel. Midnight in Paris, Champs Elysees, Party Dress}

Stiletto: A matte extremely patchy black. For a black I was expecting a much deeper shade than what I got. Not impressed.

Eiffel: A shimmery forest green. I love this color just wish it was a tad more pigmented because its so beautiful. Again was very patchy.

Midnight in Paris: A blue glitter. I say glitter instead of shimmer because even in the swatch you can see CHUNKS of glitter. There are more chunks of glitter than there is eye shadow which  is not what I was expecting when looking in the pan. This is right up there with String Of Lights as the worst shade in the palette.

Champs Elysees: A purple shimmer shade. I used this wet on my eyes today and it looked terrific when I first applied it. It was vibrant and glittery but after not even a couple of hours it had almost completely vanished. I might try using a different primer next time to see how it holds up.

Party Dress: A pink shimmer. This one again like Midnight In Paris has some larger chunks of glitter but overall it's not terrible. Good pigment albeit a little patchy.

There's a great range of shades in this palette with three very well done mattes and a few shimmer shades that I really liked. Most of the eye shadows were nothing special though but the super glittery shades do look much better when used wet.

 {swatched wet}

Midnight in Paris even used wet is still patchy and chunky. This honestly was such a horrible shade it's almost unusable. Eiffel has much more pigment when applied wet and looks stunning!
The Face Products

{left to right: Stardust, Skyline, Flush and Sun Bunny}

Stardust: Very pigmented coral/pink blush. This applied like a dream and is super blendable.

Skyline: Classic barbie pink, easy to use too much product with this one as its extremely pigmented. I'm very fair so have to be very careful when using this one.

Flush: Light golden champagne. I didn't really like this highlight. It' much more subtle and I like a very in your face highlight but if you're one for subtlety this may be up your alley. Has very little shimmer but still adds a lovely glow to the skin.

Sun Bunny: This feels just like butter and is so pigmented. Being fair skinned this was too orange for me and made me look very muddy but I do think it's a lovely color and for darker skinned folks would look amazing!

I don't regret buying this palette but I understand the mixed reviews. It's disappointing when there are a few amazing shades in a palette and the rest are just mediocre especially when splashing out more than fifty dollars on one item.

Did anyone else get this? Thoughts?

NOTD

Hello loves!

Here are my nails of the day. I used Essie's "After School Boy Blazer" as the base and Sephora's "Party Animal" as the glitter top coat and then to finish it all off I used a Revlon Top Coat.

Sephora's Party Animal is a great glitter polish and I never have many good things to say about glitter polishes but this one dried so quick where as the MANY others I've tried never seem to dry and then when you go to put a top coat on you just end up creating a smudged disaster but with Party Animal I had no problems what so ever.

I absolutely love glitter over dark bases and will continue to wear my nails like this throughout most of fall and winter.

=)

Sephora: New Year's Resolution musical monday

Hello everyone, my apologies for the messy nails!

This is Sephora's nail polish in New Years Resolution, it looks really light in this photo but in natural light it is a lot darker, I love this color and am very curious to see what it would like with a matte top coat, might need to try it next!

Took two coats to make it completely opaque like most polishes, this is with a top coat and base coat. They did chip in a couple of days but hey I've yet to find a polish that doesn't so I'm not docking points there. Overall it's a great polish would be fantastic around holidays with a glitter accent nail!

For this musical monday....a little 90's throwback. Enjoy.

MURAD Invisiblur and my thoughts on "face and skincare" samples

Hey guys, I have a quick review and a rant of sorts on face//skincare samples.

First my thoughts on a sample I received during my last cheeky online order at Sephora, I do love that every time you order online from Sephora you can choose three samples it's a great way to try a lot of different things not to mention The deluxe samples you can get with the Beauty Insider card.

The sample choices this time around weren't too great so I got this along with a Lacoste and Marc Jacobs perfume sample (neither of which appealed to me)

The MURAD Invisiblur is a foil packet sample, honestly looking at the front I wasn't too sure exactly what it was to be used for however the back of the packet said it could be used as a primer which is how I used it.
The product inside is different than any other product I've used it feels like a thinner consistency Vasoline or petroleum jelly and it's clear in colour...odd I thought and there was no scent what so ever.
When applied it's fairly greasy which I didn't mind too much as I have dry skin. This didn't seem to make my makeup last any longer than any other primer and with just a sample foil packet I really could see no difference in any of the benefits claimed on the front of the packet which brings me to my thoughts on certain samples....

When you receive a skincare or face sample I don't know about you but it's fairly rare that I will go out after trying one sample of a foil product and buy the full size  there is just absolutely nothing I can gain from a sample unless it's like a BB cream or tinted moisturizer but skin care samples like lotions or cleansers etc. I don't see the point to these minuscule samples that if a skincare line for example are meant to work after a week or so it's rare that a person will notice effects like that after using a sample. In my opinion at least send out a mini jar or something as a sample that may give the user a little more time to test it out and create an opinion.

What are your thoughts on foil packet samples?

SEPHORA Travel Brush Set {Travel Essentials}

Hey guys it's been awhile, I know... I'm sorry. Today I want to talk about and review a travel essential!

If you're a beauty junkie I guarantee you all have a ton of beauty brushes. Don't lie we see the different sets from different brands! I myself hate carrying around a suitcase full of beauty items as I pack enough clothes and shoes as it is haha.
Well no fear because mini brush sets are the perfect thing for travel, mine is from Sephora and comes in a purple brush wrap, yes I know they are not the cleanest at the moment but don't worry I do clean my brushes!

This brush wrap I believe I paid around $25 CAD for it at Sephora which is cheap considering. It comes a blush brush, foundation brush and three eye brushes, pretty much everything you need for a whole face.

The brushes are not the greatest quality but  the SEPHORA line of products is very hit and miss I find. The blush brush lost its shape after only a few washes but it's never shed actually none of them have since I've bought them which was within the past year. I hate foundation brushes I will be honest I like to use bigger brushes I usually use a kabuki or a stipple brush to apply my foundation so I don't have much to say about the foundation brush in this set.

I actually use the three eye brushes almost every time I do my eyes mostly because for now I don't have many eyebrushes  but the liner brush I LOVE. I love it because it's small and it's not too soft or too hard really easy to use great with cream eyeliners! It has to be my favourite brush from the set.

If you need a cheap decent set of brushes for travel try the Sephora Brush wraps they come in a variety of colours all really cute!

What are your favourite or most used makeup brushes?

watt's up?

 Hey everyone, here it is the first "new" so to speak post on the new blog. Another very hyped up and cult favorite among the blogosphere is the "Watt's Up" highlighter by Benefit. It's a soft focus highlighter with a champagne sheen as you can see in the above swatch.

I have tried this and Benefit's "High Beam" and I quite honestly can't decide which one I love more. This provides a beautiful glow to your cheekbones and works great on dry skin, blends wonderfully. I don't have enough praise for this product. When it's blended out it looks natural on your skin and provides you with a gorgeous glow. I use Watt's Up over my foundation currently but I have wonders about using it underneath so I am thinking of giving that a go.

 I only have the sample size right now but once this little fella is dried up I will be running to the closest Sephora to pick up the full size.

Never Say NO!

Oh hey guys! It’s been a while since I’ve done a nail review hasn’t it? Well I’m back! This time it’s another one from the Sephora mini collection I started reviewing a couple months ago.
I think i’ve only reviewed about four of ten colors, maybe this is the fourth. However on to the review…
This color is called Never Say No, it’s just a metallic looking brown. Looking at it in the bottle I honestly thought I’d hate it but on the nails I actually really really like it. It’s subtle but still noticeable if you get that. The color payoff, absolutely incredible. The above photo was achieved with ONE COAT, ONE. Solid color for one coat which I love because I find painting nails to be a chore but I love having painted nails….
Not only is the color payoff great the lasting power and how quick it dried is  shocking. I don’t think I could be more in love with a polish at the moment. It’s a great neutral color and I’m loving it currently. I know summer is the time for brights but…oh well.
