Boxing Day Havoc

Hello everyone!
As you are all aware Christmas just passed and Christmas comes with gifts, now I got some money and gift cards so of course I wanted to head out and go shopping immediately. I've never been to the mall on Boxing Day before so I took a chance and braved the crowds of people....well not really I got into the mall went to grab something to eat. The food court was so packed there were folks on the floor with their food trays, I will tell you something I did not expect that at all, needless to say I called my boyfriend as soon as this happened to come get me so I chumped out. I'm not sure if the States is like Canada but here instead of "Boxing Day" sales they have "Boxing Week Sales" some stores do have a really special deal on Boxing Day but most sales are for the week. I had three gift cards, one to Aritzia (my favorite store), La Senza and H&M (another favorite) I didn't pick up a lot but I did grab a few things which I thought I'd share. I'm not going to share what I bought from La Senza because well I don't feel like sharing my panty purchases with the world.

First off....Aritzia
You can't really see but they have a patched panel around the calf area and they have zippers on the back as well, nice tight fitting leggings. Most likely will pair this with boots or a pair of heels.

H&M

I also found a pair of black disco pants which I absolutely fell in love with but unfortunately they only had my size in the gray and not black. I couldn't find the product on the website but I got a gold chain necklace with black feathers all around it, not sure what I'm going to pair with it. I'll be sure to snap a shot of it when I get home. Any ideas?
That's all for now, did anyone else try to brave the crowds of people?

E X P R E S S -- Y O U R S E L F

Hello everyone, it's been a few days. Christmas is always a hectic time. I wanted to address an issue I've seen come up a lot recently with people I know and some things I've just heard people saying passing on the street, this issue is "Self Expression;" Expression of one's own personality, feelings, or ideas, as through speech or art. Every person deserves the right to self expression and from what I've been seeing lately, the world is unbelievably judgmental and a person cant do anything with someone having something negative to say about it. It's getting disgusting to even see//hear some of the things I've been hearing. I'm not going to say I've never judged and act like a perfect being because the truth is no one is. The way I look at it is if a person feels more comfortable with themselves by wearing makeup or wild and bright clothing, why should they be judged for it? The same goes for people who feel they're beautiful without makeup and can maybe they choose to wear sweatpants all the time. So what? If they want to do it we have no reason to ruin their happiness. The world needs to stop this media of hatred and learn to embrace people for who they are. Self love is what needs to be in the media not judgement. Just be yourself. If someone doesn't love you for you, don't keep them in your life. I just needed to get this little rant off of my chest...Thanks guys <3

L'Oreal Color Riche

Hello all! I'd love to start this post by saying it's a beautiful day but unfortunately that's not the case. It's quite snowy and cold in Calgary at the moment. A month ago or so I invested in a L'Oreal Color Riche Lipstick in Color 417 - Peach Fuzz.
Sorry for the not so great quality, I just thought of this post and quickly snapped these with my phone.

When swatched on the hand, it looked fantastic. Very shimmery and quite a bit of color to it, however this was not the case when applied to the lips which left me disappointed. Its staying power was another disappointment, stayed maybe at max an hour and turned cakey after only a few minutes. The only thing I really enjoyed about this lipstick was the packaging, I love the gold and how it makes it look less like a cheap lipstick but overall I don't think I'd purchase another one. Has anyone else tried the Color Riche Lipsticks?

Favorite Designers-- Alexander Wang

Hello everybody!
It's been a couple of days, I've been busy with work and life and all that jazz. I wanted to talk about one of my top loved designers, Alexander Wang. I love that his designs use more shades instead of bright flashy colors, I'll be honest I do love my colors but I find it hard for myself to style outfits with more colors and a lot easier to style neutrals colored outfits. Although when he does use colors in his designs they're generally darker toned colors, such as the Alexander Wang crew neck below.

The simplicity of his designs amazes me. He makes a simple garment look so stylish and if I had the money you can guarantee about 90% of my wardrobe would include his collections. Below are some of my current favorite Alexander Wang pieces.

MAC Studio Scuplt Foundation

I'm one of those girls who never wore foundation for YEARS and I mean like until I was 18/19, for I believed it would ruin my skin. I'm twenty and recently just purchased a new foundation, the MAC Studio Sculpt to be exact.

No, this is not the first foundation I've ever bought but it is so far the only one I've tried and found to work extremely well. It might almost have too heavy coverage for my skin, after all I have pretty nice skin aside from it being dry I've never had any acne problems or anything with my face. That's the only worry I have with this is that I might end up looking a bit cake face due to the amount of coverage it gives so I have to be very cautious with how much I apply. I have this in NC20 which is a shade darker than my skin. The lady at the counter at the Bay asked if I preferred it to match my skin or be a bit darker. At first we tried the shade which unfortunately I can't remember the name of that matched my skin and MY GOD I looked dead so she then matched me with this. It blends so flawlessly and sinks into my skin almost immediately, if you do have problematic skin this is buildable and for those summery sunny months it has an SPF of 15. This foundation does not go patchy through the day which I find a lot of foundations on my skin do because my skin is so parched. Overall I'm extremely happy with this purchase.

Bye for now! c:

Ultrabland

The other day I was in LUSH and I am getting to the point where I almost never want to venture in there anymore because the sales people are just ALL over you, if you're like me I would much prefer walking into a store and be able to browse without having someone one me every second pushing products on me. I understand its their job but it gets quite annoying. The terribly pushy girls at LUSH however gave me a few samples of some cleansers and such. I told the lady I have extremely dry skin and she recommended Ultrabland, I find the smell of it quite off putting to be honest but it also removes make up, that's a bonus!

Here's what the LUSH website has to say about it

Non-irritating beeswax cleanser

A hugely popular cult product, Ultrabland is a thick, rich emulsion of essential oils, honey and beeswax to take off any make up or residue that has built up on your face throughout the day. Unlike most make up removers, Ultrabland leaves your skin feeling soft and nourished, thanks to soothing rosewater and iris flower extract. Suitable for all skin types, Ultrabland is a classic LUSH cleanser coveted by staff and customers alike for it’s effectiveness. Not so bland after all, is it?

Hopefully it will work and hopefully I will be able to get past the smell.

That's all for now!

Winter and Dry Skin

Hello everyone! My skin is dry naturally and gets about a thousand times more dry during the winter season. I've never for the life of me been able to find any body cream, lotion butter or any moisturizing product to keep the dryness at bay. It's horrible and really unpleasant for me. Recently I hit up Bath and Body Works and picked up two of their holiday creams. The Winter Candy Apple and Vanilla Bean. I'll be honest I mostly bought these for the smells, they smell LOVELY. Do any of you have dry skin and find it difficult to find products to quench your skins thirst?

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

The photo above is just some of MANY huge snow drifts that have been created from the YYC blizzard. For those of you who don't know what YYC is, it's Calgary. The snow has stopped finally! But it has not got any warmer it's currently -32 degrees Celsius with the wind chill. BRRRRR On another note all the malls now have their Christmas Décor ready. I am so excited for Christmas. What does everyone hope they get?

MAC Masterclass Collection

MAC Oval 6 Brush

I was in MAC last week and stumbled upon this beauty, it is THE softest brush I have ever felt. Ever. I was a little reluctant to buy it however as it was $50.50 which I find to be a bit on the expensive side. Has anyone used this brush and if so how did you find it? Any reviews on this would be extremely appreciated!

Inspiration

Forgot one thing!

The lovely lady who was my inspiration for this blog was Zoella. So big thanks to her. Be sure to check her Youtube and blog out. She is such an inspiration to not only me but so many other people.

Thanks Zoe for everything you've done for me and not even knowing it.

My First Time

Hello everyone,

Well for now its just my blog and I, but that's okay! So as you can all see this is my first post, now I wouldn't necessarily say I've ever "blogged" before I mean I do have a Tumblr but that's just me scrolling endlessly through my dashboard reblogging other people's posts haha so not exactly blogging. I'm a little undecided of what this will be, probably just a mix of everything. Anyways I'm sure you don't want to read an endless post of rambling so I'm going to go to work now...actual work.

Bye!
