Too Faced - Smoky Eye Palette

Hello loves.
Back with another product review. Yes, I know this is an incredibly old palette in the grand scheme of things but I still wanted to give my thoughts on it.

I bought this via Hautelook which if you don't know is a flash sale website. Go check it out!
I don't use this as much as I'd like to. Mostly because of the darker tones which for office workers like me are generally frowned upon. I wish I would have had this when I was 18 and in my clubbing phase because these shades are perfect for it. Too Faced has always had impeccable packaging and this palettes no different. It's housed in cardboard with a magnetic closure. I'm sure a lot of people would nit pick that this doesn't have a mirror but I for one never use palette mirrors for my makeup so it doesn't bother me in the least.

I don't find the three base shades to be shades I'd use enough to justify the larger size but I understand why they did it. The shadows of course are incredibly pigmented and apply like butter. I find the black to fall a little short but I've never found a perfect matte black. The palette includes three cards with different eye looks for any beginners out there who are unsure where to begin. Out of all three rows the top is my most used. I'm thinking of throwing this into a declutter though as I just don't have enough places or events to wear it to.

What's your go to smoky palette?

Top 5 - Lips {Pink Edition}

{left to right: Bite Beauty Eclair, Kat Von D's Mother, MAC Impassioned, Too Faced Melted Peony, ABH Doll Party}

Hello loves.
 I've done a lot of these top 5 lip posts but I enjoy writing them and I hope you guys enjoy reading them. I don't wear a lot of pinks, red is my go to as you all know but when I'm choosing a pink here are my top picks!

Bite Beauty Liquid Lip in Eclair - The Bite Liquid lipsticks have a great formula and amazing pigmentation. They aren't completely matte though so they can slip and slide outside the lip line. I either use my Bite lip primer or a lip liner to help stop the bleeding. I don't notice it so much with this shade but with the shade Flambe (a bright, vibrant red) it happens a lot.

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lip in Mother - I'll be honest, I'm not a fan of Kat Von D as a person but she makes incredible makeup. Her liquid lips are pigmented and long wearing. The downside to these is they are drying, probably one of most drying formulas I've ever used.

MAC Impassioned - I love the bright vibrancy of this lip! But in all honesty it would look much better on someone with whiter teeth. That won't keep me from wearing it though! It's a terrific summer shade!

Too Faced Melted Peony - If you love the color of this and are looking for a dupe the Maybelline Color Jolt in "Never Bare" is almost identical. I coudln't find the color jolts online though so I'm not sure if they're still selling them. It's a nice subtle but still bright pink. Again, a perfect summer lip.

ABH Lip Gloss in Doll Party - I usually hate gloss but the ABH ones are not sticky or goopy and are so extremely pigmented. I'd almost call these a liquid lip. This one is a fun and spunky pink!

What's your favorite pink lip?

Bedroom Eyes

Well, hello again loves.

We all love a sexy, sultry eye look. The Too Faced Boudoir palette delivers just that.

Soft, blendable colors that can easily take you from day to night. The swatches above do no justice to how these perform on the eyes. The shimmer shades swatched nicely but the mattes on the other hand look rather chalky. I've always found Too Faced to do a matte shade well and was surprised at how they swatched. Albeit, owning this palette forever this is the first and only time I've "swatched" it.

When dipping into the shadows there's a lot of kick up but that doesn't bother me. They apply and blend like a dream. French Tickler being black of course is harder to blend out so be wary of that.
A neutral color scheme with three deeper shades to add depth. This little palette packs a punch and can create a soft daytime look for everyday wear to a sulrty look for a night on the town. My favorite shade is "Satin Sheets" which I believe is included in quite a few other Too Faced palettes.

What's your favorite "mini" Too Faced Palette?

Liquid Lipstick Collection

{Swatches (left to right) - Stone Fox, Blow Pony, Outlaw, Soft Lilac, Never Bare, Lolita, Midi, Oh Put It On, Screenshot, Mother, Melted Peony}

{Swatches (left to right) - Lolita, Midi, Oh Put It On, Screenshot, Mother, Melted Peony}

Good morning loves.

I have so many lip products in my collection it's honestly ridiculous.
What can I say though?
Choosing a lip color is my favorite part of my daily routine.

It took me a long time to hop on the Liquid Lipstick band wagon and I'll be honest as much as I like them it won't stop me from buying the original bullet lipsticks. As you can see I don't have very many but none the less I wanted to share my ever growing collection with you.

NYX Liquid Suede in "Stone Fox"

This is the most recent addition to my liquid family. I saw this color everywhere when it first hit the scene. A unique gray shade with blue undertones. On my skin I'd say it leans more towards a khaki looking gray. I'm a sucker for a dark lip and this fits the bills perfectly. I never thought a gray could look so stunning.

Jeffree Star's "Blow Pony"

There is so much drama surrounding Jeffree at any given time but the color selection in his liquid lip collection is absolutely out of this world! These are quite expensive for a Canadian like myself but I would purchase more for the colors alone. Blow Pony is a gorgeous bright lavender, perfect for the summer.

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lip in "Outlaw"

This red is S-T-U-N-N-I-N-G. Kat's formula is very drying though I find which is unfortunate because I do love her liquid lipsticks.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in "Soft Lilac"

A muted soft mauve color. This goes well with a lot of different looks making it quite versatile. I'd love to try more of the ABH liquid lipsticks as I've been really into her brand lately. Not to mention all the new releases about to launch, hello Subculture!

Maybelline Color Jolt in "Never Bare"

When I purchased this I had no idea it was an exact color dupe for the Too Faced Melted Lip in Melted Peony so now I have two of the same color. It's not a bad thing though because it's a color I really like. The Maybelline Color Jolts are extremely similar to the Too Faced Melted Liquid Lips in packaging, application and formula. So if you're looking for a cheaper alternative I'd highly recommend checking them out!

Kat Von D "Lolita"

A cult classic. I wrote a whole post about this here.

ColourPop Ultra Matte in "Midi"

The Ultra Matte formula from ColourPop is so drying and it pils off my lips in little balls, not a flattering look. Unfortunately though I'm trying to make it work because I love this soft pink nude. I wouldn't repurchase a ColourPop lippie in the ultra matte formula but would love to try their other formulas.

NYX Liquid Suede in "Oh, Put It On"

A deep purple, so deep it almost looks black. Another dark intimidating color, my favorite. I've yet to actually wear this. Like it's counterpart Stone Fox it was purchased at the same time and I just haven't had the chance to test it.

ColourPop Ultra Satin Lip in "Screenshot"

A lovely deep peach. The satin formula is much nicer on the lips than the ultra mattes.  The peach trend this year has really blown up and I'm not complaining.

Too Faced "Melted Peony"

Like I said before the color jolt is a dead on dupe and I love both.

Kat Von D "Mother"
A bright rose pink. Simple with a twist. Not my favorite color but I'll use it up one of these days.

There we have it, my liquid lipstick collection.

What's your favorite liquid lipstick?

Too Faced Sweet Peach

Everyone and their mother raves about this palette and with good reason.

Too Faced's Sweet Peach Palette was originally released as a limited edition palette in the summer of 2016 and sold out within minutes, proving almost impossible to get your hands on. Then came Christmas of 2016 and it was re-released. Don't quote me on this but I believe it's part of Too Faced's permanent collection now. I was unable to pick this up during the initial release but when it rolled out at Christmas I was one of the first at Sephora.

The palette encases 18 different shades in a variety of finishes, ranging from matte's to shimmers and a couple of shades that had some more chunky flecks of glitter.

1st row {left to right: White Peach, Luscious, Just Peachy, Bless Her Heart, Tempting & Charmed I'm Sure}

2nd Row {left to right - Nectar, Cobbler, Candied Peach, Bellini, Peach Pit & Delectable}

Last Row {left to right: Peaches N' Cream, Georgia, Caramelized, Puree, Summer Yum &  Talk Derby To Me}

There's only two shades that had big chunks of glitter, those being Candied Peach & Talk Derby To Me. When used on the eyes though I don't find Candied Peach to be as glittery as it is when swatched. I can't say the same for Talk Derby To Me though because I haven't used that shade yet.

I adore the color scheme of this palette and I like how it's mostly neutral with a few pops of color thrown in like the purple and the unique olive green shade. I've been using this a lot recently and the colors all blend extremely well and don't turn into a muddled looking mess like some cheaper eye shadows can do. I've never had problems with creasing or fading with any of the shades, mind you I do always use a primer but sometimes shadows still crease with a primer.
Did I mention this smells like peaches? The scent can be overwhelming so be warned if you have a a sensitive sense of smell. Luckily though you can't smell it once it's applied!

My favorite shadows in this palette are Luscious, Candied Peach & Caramelized. I love this palette and am so glad I got my hands on it!

What are your thoughts?

TOP 3 - Eyeshadow Palettes

Hello loves!

I wanted to share my Top 3 eye shadow palettes (for the moment). We all love eye shadow and I love seeing what palettes other people love so I thought why not share my current favorites.

ABH Modern Renaissance - This was my favorite palette not just for this moment but of 2016. The color scheme is romantic and can create so many different looks. The shades albeit being powdery are pigmented and blend out gorgeously. I've yet to try an Anastasia product that I was disappointed in. If you haven't tried this it is part of her permanent range and I highly suggest you pick it up if you're a lover of these shades. I can't ever recall seeing a negative review for this beauty.

Too Faced's Sweet Peach - I'm so glad they re-released this because I was never able to pick it up the first time around. The smell is strong and smells more like chemicals than peaches to me. It's so sweet that it almost makes me nauseous. I can look past this though because again the colors in this are gorgeous, pigmented and blend well. My favorite shade would be Luscious and I love the added pop of green and purple giving it some added color to an otherwise neutral toned palette.

Kat Von D Metal Matte (No longer available) - I couldn't get a decent shot of this this morning to save my life even though I had no problems with the other two. Besides that this was a limited edition palette that was released this past Christmas and I'm so happy I got my hands on it. It was quite expensive but Kat's shadows are wonderful. There are a few in here that don't blend as well as the others but overall they are great. Be warned though they are very pigmented so be sure to use a light hand. The shimmers are a-m-a-z-i-n-g. Ignite, Twinkle and Tinsel are my favorites.

What is your current favorite palette?

The Blush Tag

Hello loves!
I found this tag over on Jessie's blog and although I don't have the largest blush collection I still thought it would be fun to give it a go!
If you do this tag, be sure to leave me a link in the comments!

What color blush suits you the most?
Pale pinks as I'm extremely fair skinned. Any dark or strongly pigmented blushes will make me look like a clown so I have to be very light handed when applying.

Pressed, cream or loose blush?
I've used only one cream blush before and I've never tried a loose blush so pressed it is for me. The cream blush I used I just didn't like the way it applied and I found it hard to blend out. I find pressed blushes are easy and quick to use making them ideal for everyday. I'd love to try out a loose blush so if anyone has any recommendations please leave them in the comments.

Favourite shimmery blush?
NARS Deep throat. It has a lovely subtle golden shimmer to it unlike some other shimmery blushes which are full of chunky glitter.

Favourite matte blush?
Benefit's Dandelion. Like I said above those pale, subtle pinks are fantastic when it comes to ghostly complexions like mine. This is buildable as well if you want a more pigmented look.

Favourite cream blush?
I've only tried one, it was in the Too Faced Natural Face palette. I found it hard to blend and strongly disliked how it applied to the skin. I would be open to trying more as I don't think you can form an opinion on something after only trying one formula when there are so many other different brands with different formulas.

Favourite drug store blush?
Come to think about it...I've never tried a drug store blush! I know what I'll be picking up next time I'm in the drug store!

Favourite MAC blush?
Again, I've only tried one and it was their mineralized blush in the shade "Dainty" which I do really enjoy.

Biggest blush disappointment?
The cream one from the Too Faced Natural Face Palette.

Best blush packaging?
Out of the ones I own I'd say my Nars cheek palette. Its beautifully designed on the outside and is nice and sturdy and houses a large mirror inside. It's great for traveling.

What's on your blush wish list?
I'm dying to try the Tarte Amazonian clay blushes as I've heard absolutely nothing but good things about them!

Holy grail blush?
At the moment with the little amount of blushes I've tried it would have to be Benefit's Dandelion. I'm keen to try more out though so leave me recommendations in the comments!

Top 5 High End Lipsticks

Hello again!
I did a drugstore top 5 about a month ago and thought to follow up that post I'd do one for high end options.

Being a self confessed lipstick addict I had a lot of options to choose from but after much deliberation I found the ones I reach for most.

{left to right - Velvet Teddy, Russian Red, Melted Peony, Lolita & Soft Lilac}

MAC Velvet Teddy - Velvet Teddy is as perfect as they all say. A fantastic brown toned nude that works for every look! I don't find Velvet Teddy to be as drying as other matte lipsticks either making it quite comfortable to wear during the day.

Russian Red - Unlike Velvet Teddy although they are both in MAC's matte range, Russian Red is very drying on the lips. I recommend exfoliating and applying lip balm before applying this. Russian Red is completely opaque with one application and lasts well over 5 hours if you stray from greasy foods or excessive drinks. I love dark reds and this is by far my favorite. I wear this year round, who said dark colors were only for fall/winter?

Too Faced Melted Peony - If you read my blog regularly you'll know I prefer a matte finish to a glossy finish. This is my exception, it doesn't dry completely matte but it's not glossy on the lips, it's more of satin finish I'd say. A lovely light pink, you'll be seeing this on my lips a lot this spring!

Kat Von D Lolita - I recently wrote a post on this - here. I've been wearing this constantly the past couple of weeks.

ABH Soft Lilac - This looks surprisingly different on different skin tones. I'm ghostly pale so this looks much darker on my lips then the soft toned lavender it appears on others. There seems to be a lot of mixed feelings on ABH's liquid lipstick formula and even though I've only tried one, I love it! I can only fault the formula in the sense that it's not transfer proof. I've yet to find a liquid lipstick formula that doesn't transfer so it's not a negative for me.

I've been wanting a YSL lipstick for a long time, so I may have to pick one up the next time I'm at Sephora.

What are your top 5 high end lipsticks?

Brand Impressions - Too Faced

Hello!
Sorry I've been absent lately. My work load at home and my job has sky rocketed in the past few days! This post was planned for yesterday but unfortunately I didn't have the time I thought I would to get it up.

If you couldn't already tell, I wanted to talk about one of my growing obsessions with the brand Too Faced. They are slowly becoming one of my favorite brands and for good reason. It may not look like the stash others may have built up but I'm constantly adding things to my Too Faced wish list and may be spending more than I should be. Can you really blame me? I mean, just look at their packaging!

Too Faced has the cutest packaging of any beauty brand and creative marketing tactics! I love that their food related palettes such as the Sweet Peach, Chocolate Bar palettes and even their new peanut butter ones all smell like the items they relate too. Albeit sometimes they can be a bit much but an idea I've yet to see any other brand try.

The only product from my collection I've reviewed was the 2015 Limited Edition Christmas Palette (Le Grand Palais).
I had mixed feelings about it but the other products excluding the Natural Face Palette are complete dreams and I am itching to add more! The most recent addition was the Sweet Peach of which I've fallen in love with. Once winter is over you can bet I'll be breaking this out daily.

I am lusting over their soon to be released Natural Love eye palette and the Love Light Highlighters. I'm just drooling at the absolute gorgeous shades in the palette, dreaming of all the looks you could create with them. With 30 shades the options are limitless. If you guys haven't seen swatches of the highlighters yet I highly recommend you head to Instagram right now and search for them, they are STUNNING. I love a blinding glow which could be easily achieved with these, and if you're not following me on Instagram please do, my username is Briannarue.

Maybelline

Maybelline

Maybelline has always been a firm favorite of mine at the drugstore but they've had so many new releases in the past two years there was no hope in my poor bank account keeping on top of things.

The Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara isn't a new release by any means but I've seen it splashed across the pages of many blogs I read so I'm very keen to pick this up. I think there are just as many if not better mascaras in the drugstores as high end. I recently tried Benefit Roller Lash and after I finished that I headed to my local drugstore and picked up my all time favorite mascara the Maybelline Colossal for a fraction of the price.

Maybelline Color Jolt These are a newer release (within the past year) and I wasn't too excited about them until this morning when I watched a video by RacchLoves  where she mentioned that there were shades in the line that are exact dupes for the Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipsticks which I fell head over heels for last Christmas. If I can save money you can bet that I'll try it!

Maybelline Vivd Matte Liquid Lipstick There's been a ton of mixed reviews on these, some people love them and some people hate them. Being the lip product junkie that I am though I'm willing to try them at least once.

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer Another older product but one that was highly raved about on Youtube and various blogs. Come to think about it, I don't know if I've seen a poor review for this.

Maybelline Blushed Nudes Lately, I've been becoming an eyeshadow junkie. I used to be a girl who never wore eyeshadow as I just couldn't be bothered with putting in to much effort but as of late that's all changed. The color scheme in this palette is beautiful and for a drugstore palette I've heard glowing reviews.

Maybelline Nudes I want to try all the palettes in the Nudes Collection in case you hadn't noticed.

Maybelline Rock Nudes I like that this one has a few offbeat colors thrown into the mix. The blue and the almost olive toned looking gold shade, I would love to see how those look on the eyes. I think that olive gold would look gorgeous.

Maybelline Master Hi-Lighting Blush & Bronzer To be honest, I'm not sure if this is a newer or older release. Multi purpose products though save so much time on the weekdays when you really can't be bothered to get out of bed early. I've seen swatches of this online and it looks fairly subtle and natural, perfect for work.

Maybelline Master Strobing Stick  I love to glow. Even for day to day I like my highlight poppin'! This looks like it could achieve a fairly shimmery highlight. Some of the swatches I've seen it looks comparable to my ever loved Benefit Watt's Up

Maybelline Loaded Bolds More lip products? Of course there are! These are the newest release from Maybelline I believe. The shades I'd love to try are the blue shade which for some reason isn't on the Maybelline Canada website and "Gone Griege" but the entire collection looks wonderful. On second thought I might end up purchasing all of them, sorry bank account.

Maybelline Brow Drama Mascara I'm so basic when it comes to doing my brows, powder and done. I'd love to branch out and try new products that aren't powder. This looks interesting but I'm intrigued to see how you would use it.

Too Faced - Le Grand Palais

Hey everyone!
This post was very delayed and by that I mean this palette came out in Christmas of 2015 and I'm only writing it about now...
 Why, you ask?
 I just didn't get much use out of it until recently but I still wanted to share my thoughts with you guys.

Too Faced is known for their impeccable shadows. I have a few other Too Faced palettes that I adore and use all the time. So naturally when I saw this come out at Christmas, despite all the mixed reviews on it I thought hey why not? and went ahead and purchased it as a gift to myself. Being a Holiday Release this was limited edition and a Sephora exclusive and it retailed for $75 CAD which I don't think is outrageous as you get a considerable amount of product in the palette itself as well as three deluxe sized samples, including a "Better Than Sex" mascara, "Melted Peony" liquified lipstick and the Too Faced Shadow Insurance primer.

The only Too Faced products I had tried before this palette previously were other eye shadow palettes so I really enjoyed getting the sample products as a way to test some other products from the brand. This may be the unpopular opinion but I hated the Better Than Sex Mascara the brush was almost bigger than my eye itself and I found it hard to scrape all the excess off of it which left me with extremely clumpy and goopy lashes, I don't understand they hype around that product at all. The liquid lipstick I adored although I think for a holiday palette though they could have chosen a more winter appropriate shade. Melted Peony to me is not a color I'd rock in the snow but I have been getting lots of use out of it this summer. I've been using a primer from Coastal Scents so I only used the Shadow Insurance once but I was blown away by how vibrant it made the shadows and there was not even the tiniest bit of creasing either after eight hours!

On to the actual palette...

Too Faced aced the outer packaging on this, love the little box its housed in and the decoration including the Sephora bag and Too faced Chocolate bar palette! As with all Too Faced products I've come across the packaging on this is super cute! My only gripe with the packaging is that the palette is in a cardboard case and instead of using the side with no products for a mirror they decided to just use it as decoration. There is more than enough space for a mirror and decoration I just don't understand why they didn't utilizie it better, I mean this could have been a perfect travel palette if a mirror was included.

Including the larger pans there are 18 eye shadows, 2 blushes, a highlight and a bronzer. A large quantity of product but is the quality there?

{left to right: White Christmas, Satin Sheets and Vintage Lace}

White Christmas: Very powdery with little pigmentation. You really have to build this one up for any color payoff.

Satin Sheets: This shadow is included in the Too Faced Boudoir palette which I also own. The lighting in this shot makes it look very white but it's not. It's a very sheer slightly shimmery pale pink champagne color. The swatch didn't do this color justice I really love this shade, no it's not pigmented but the shimmer really makes it an eye catching shade.

Vintage Lace: A yellow toned base shade. It's quite powdery but the pigment is pretty good.

{left to right - Delightful, Moon On Their Wings, Cobblestone, City Lights & Dreamlight}

Delightful: Pale pink, lots of shimmer. This one took a lot to build up but felt very buttery to the touch and had little to no fall out. Makes a great highlighting shade!

Moon On Their Wings: Shimmer finish, light gold. Again a very buttery shade but not a lot of pigment just a lot of shimmer.

Cobblestone: Gorgeous, gorgeous matte crease shade. I love this color, I've been using this almost daily as my go to. It's buttery and blends beautifully! It's highly pigmented though so be sure to not use too much too quickly.

City Lights: Another perfect matte shade. I used this on my crease today and is perfect just like Cobblestone. The mattes in this palette are amazing. I honestly wish Too Faced would sell singles because I would buy this and Cobblestone over and over again!

Dreamlight: This shade looks almost matte in the swatch but it does have a slight hint of shimmer to it. Very pigmented and little fallout.

{left to right - String of Lights, Yule Log, Wish List, Arc De Triomphe, Belle Femme}

String of Lights:  This is one of the worst shades of all. Patchy, zero pigmentation. This swatch took about 15 layers. This was just a complete waste in my opinion.

Yule Log: This looks black but I assure you it's not. In the pan it's a dark brown with flecks of gold shimmer throughout which look non existent above. This was patchy and i feel like you really had to push to get it to transfer to the skin.

Wish List: My favorite in the palette. A marvelous gold and I'm a sucker for a golds. Pigmented, buttery and blendable. Perfect gold in my eyes.

Arc De Triomphe: A shimmery rose gold. I used this as an inner highlight today and on the eyes it definitely leans more golden. This one had quite a bit of fallout but is a very pretty shade and is easily buildable for more pigment.

Belle Femme: A dark brown matte. This one was a tad more patchy then the other two matte shades but is still a great matte. Great for darkening the crease.

{left to right: Stiletto, Eiffel. Midnight in Paris, Champs Elysees, Party Dress}

Stiletto: A matte extremely patchy black. For a black I was expecting a much deeper shade than what I got. Not impressed.

Eiffel: A shimmery forest green. I love this color just wish it was a tad more pigmented because its so beautiful. Again was very patchy.

Midnight in Paris: A blue glitter. I say glitter instead of shimmer because even in the swatch you can see CHUNKS of glitter. There are more chunks of glitter than there is eye shadow which  is not what I was expecting when looking in the pan. This is right up there with String Of Lights as the worst shade in the palette.

Champs Elysees: A purple shimmer shade. I used this wet on my eyes today and it looked terrific when I first applied it. It was vibrant and glittery but after not even a couple of hours it had almost completely vanished. I might try using a different primer next time to see how it holds up.

Party Dress: A pink shimmer. This one again like Midnight In Paris has some larger chunks of glitter but overall it's not terrible. Good pigment albeit a little patchy.

There's a great range of shades in this palette with three very well done mattes and a few shimmer shades that I really liked. Most of the eye shadows were nothing special though but the super glittery shades do look much better when used wet.

 {swatched wet}

Midnight in Paris even used wet is still patchy and chunky. This honestly was such a horrible shade it's almost unusable. Eiffel has much more pigment when applied wet and looks stunning!
The Face Products

{left to right: Stardust, Skyline, Flush and Sun Bunny}

Stardust: Very pigmented coral/pink blush. This applied like a dream and is super blendable.

Skyline: Classic barbie pink, easy to use too much product with this one as its extremely pigmented. I'm very fair so have to be very careful when using this one.

Flush: Light golden champagne. I didn't really like this highlight. It' much more subtle and I like a very in your face highlight but if you're one for subtlety this may be up your alley. Has very little shimmer but still adds a lovely glow to the skin.

Sun Bunny: This feels just like butter and is so pigmented. Being fair skinned this was too orange for me and made me look very muddy but I do think it's a lovely color and for darker skinned folks would look amazing!

I don't regret buying this palette but I understand the mixed reviews. It's disappointing when there are a few amazing shades in a palette and the rest are just mediocre especially when splashing out more than fifty dollars on one item.

Did anyone else get this? Thoughts?
