LUSH - Butterball

Don't mind the pink spots, my Candy Mountain bubble bar rubbed off on this while in the bag.

The LUSH Butterball bath bomb is wonderful for any dry skin sufferers like myself. If you're looking for an exciting color show, this isn't it.
But if you want nourished, supple skin this little bundle of joy will provide you with all your wildest dreams. Infused with chunks of cocoa butter this fizzes away filling your bathroom with a subtle vanilla scent. It's simple but leaves the skin feeling nourished.
I've never had softer skin after a bath using anything else.

What are your favorite LUSH products?

Easy eyes: Work

First of all I'd like to apologize for the sloppy eyeliner, I've only recently begun wearing it along my upper lash line before I always wore it on the bottom...practice makes perfect right?!

This is a quick and easy look for work created with a duo eyeshadow from Lancome, I believe I got this from my mom in on of the many bonuses Lancome puts on. The top  left photo is shown in much brighter light where as the right is a bit darker, the right is more accurate to the color in real life.

The pink color is "Peep" and the mauve color is "Snap" Of course I used Peep for my base as well as Coastal Scents primer to keep it lasting throughout my day (note: the above photos were taken earlier tonight, after my 8 hr work day) I used Snap in the crease and then blended it out. So quick and easy and subtle enough for work! I think it's a really nice color for fall and this may just become my go to work look but, we'll see!

I really believe that Lancome is an under rated brand I think a lot of people think only older women use it but they have a lot of great products and if it hadn't been for my mom I may have missed out on this and a lot more but they definitely have something for all ages and should not be glanced over.

=)

Maybelline - Master Precise {my old HG}

Hey guys. I'm sure you're wondering why this is no longer my holy grail eyeliner well let me explain...

First off I have been using Maybelline's Master Precise eyeliner for at least five years but recently it is no where close to the product I used to love...in fact I don't think I'll be buying another tube. Maybelline I don't know what you did to the formula of this but w o w has it changed.

The packaging and tip haven't changed and the tip itself makes winged eyeliner an absolute treat even if you have an unsteady hand, HOWEVER it is the formula of the product itself that has become horrible (Sorry Maybelline, you're still one of my favourite drugstore brands!)
I don't know what they did but I cannot for the life of me get this to stay on my eyes I have tried setting it with powder and all the tricks and no, just no. As you can see from the swatch above its a very wet formula and it never seems to dry. One wrong move it will be smudged all over, the second your eyes water forget it say goodbye to all your eyeliner...

I am really disappointed to say this because I LOVED this eyeliner more than any other and the fact it doesn't even last an hour without giving me panda eyes I just I'm so sad. Maybelline, why did you change this? It was so good before!

Have you ever had a HG product that either the brand changed or discontinued it?

Covergirl Lip Perfection -- Verve

Hello everyone, it's a lippie review today. As you know I am a lipstick freak, every girl has their favorite product right? Well mine is lipstick. Today's review is on the shade 370 - Verve from the Covergirl Lip Perfection lipstick line.

As you can see from the above swatch it's a very frosty pink and I know there a lot of people who in the world with a hate on for that frost finish. I'm not going to say it's my favorite but with my pale skin I don't think it looks bad or tacky so I actually own quite a few frosty lipsticks. I own three other colors from this collection and they tend to turn into another color with longer wear but I've yet to experience that with this one and yes CG's lipsticks do STAIN the lips, just a forewarning. The staying power of these lipsticks is great and the pigmentation is also great so for $9.99 CAD you can't really go wrong. There are other colors in the line that do not have the frosty finish the only one I own without the frost is the Hot Passion which I adore, it is a bright red! Covergirl doesn't have the best lip products but I would give these a solid rating and recommend you check them out.

MAC Lip liner in Brick

image

When it comes to lip products I am a MAC slave, guilty as charged! They are a tad pricey however but, I find MAC to be on the cheaper end of the higher end makeup. I use lip liners for a number of reasons and I also like just wearing a solid lip color using a liner which if I’m not using this under my Russian Red lippie is what I’ve done.  Helps to keep your lipstick on longer and prevent feathering if wearing underneath. On it’s own it makes a wonderful dark red shade, I LOVE this on its own the color pay off is incredible as with every MAC lip product I’ve experienced but on it’s own it does feather and after a few hours I was left with the outline instead of the solid color but nothing a reapplication can’t fix. Brick is an extremely versatile liner and can be used with a variety of red shades. If you love reds this is your perfect lip liner.

Bronze Of Champions

Hey everyone, sorry it’s been a few days I’ve been quite busy but I’m back. A while back I bought the Benefit - Bronze of Champions kit which includes a sample size of the creaseless cream shadow in Bikini-Tini and a longwear powder shadow in Thanks a Latte, Watt’s up! highlighter, Hoola bronzing powder and brush, They’re Real mascara and Hoola gloss. Today I’m going to review the eyeshadow combo of Bikin-Tini and Thanks A Latte.

Left: Bikin-Tini and Right: Thanks A Latte

I used Bikini-Tini all over the lid and Thanks a Latte along the crease and in the outer corners of my eyes. I like the combo of these eye shadows, its a nice neutral everyday look. However, the CREASELESS Bikini-Tini cream shadow is not creaseless it may be because I did not use an eyeshadow primer but I found within a couple of hours the shadow was creasing so I am going to try this with a primer next time around. I had no problems with the Thanks A Latte. If you notice that shimmer under my eyes that is product fall out from the Bikini-Tini so another downside of this shadow…Overall I don’t LOVE it but I like the look so I will continue to use it would I buy the Bikini-Tini full size, no but I might try some of the other Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadows.

Review: Abercrombie & Fitch - 8

image
Hello everyone! Today I wanted to review a perfume I’ve loved for years. I was never much of a fan of Abercrombie & Fitch and after last year’s events, I’ve been even less inclined to buy their products. However I’ve had this bottle for years as I’m not much of a perfume wearer. I actually really do love this perfume, it smells quite sultry and maybe is more of an evening perfume but I tend to wear it on the daily as you can see you from the bottle you don’t need to use very much. It’s not the longest lasting but I don’t carry it around and top up as the bottle is glass. The design of this perfume is nothing special but not terrible. If you’re looking for a sultry perfume give this a go!

Review: Rimmel Eye Shadow Quad - Royal Tea 030

Hello everyone, it’s been a couple of days but I’m back. I apologize for the not so great lighting in the first two photos. Today I wanted to review an eye shadow quad I picked up quite a while back. I’ve never been one to buy eye shadow so I grabbed something cheap, this quad retails for $5.99. I don’t have much to say about this, I do like the color scheme however it’s not pigmented at all. I’ve used this only a few times and you can see how hard I had to press the brush in to get any color at all. There’s about three coats on my eyelids and I still don’t find it very pigmented. The packaging is extremely cheap but what can you expect with a $6 quad, the lid fell off within about two days time. Overall I would not repurchase this, in fact I was so disappointed with this I wouldn’t purchase any of the other Rimmel eye shadow quads.

Sephora Pole Dance

Hello everyone! today I’d like to review yet another Sephora polish, it is from the same kit as the other three or two I’ve reviewed (there are ten polishes in the kit) This is one is a bright red and is named “Pole Dance”

I feel the polish is true to the color in the bottle and it has an amazing color payoff. I only used two coats to achieve this. Excuse my out of focus thumb, haha. It has chipped already but only on one nail. For the price of the whole kit which was $33 I highly recommend this. I’ve only tried about four out of the ten and so far I’ve only been disappointed with one which happens to be sugar coated which is the first polish in the above photo. All in all, I’m very impressed with Pole Dance!

It's time for Happy Hour!

Hey everyone!
I'm sorry for my lack of posting lately, I've got some personal issues I'm working on right now so it's been a difficult week. I recently purchased a pack of ten nail polishes (All 5 ml) from Sephora. To be honest the real reason I bought it was that it was only thirty three dollars which is a steal from anywhere really. I've yet to try all ten colors but the one I did try was Happy Hour! which is an exclusive shade.

It's a very bright blue I would say. I love this nail polish more than any I have tried, not necessarily the color of this one but this has been on for almost a week and hasn't chipped at all which for an nail polish is amazing, I did use a top coat but regardless I couldn't be more impressed with this. The color is extremely pigmented this was only about two coats of polish. I'm very anxious to try the other nine colors and will be posting some photos of the other ones. I would have took a photo of the whole set but unfortunately my camera died, sorry everyone.

Bye!

MAC Studio Scuplt Foundation

I'm one of those girls who never wore foundation for YEARS and I mean like until I was 18/19, for I believed it would ruin my skin. I'm twenty and recently just purchased a new foundation, the MAC Studio Sculpt to be exact.

No, this is not the first foundation I've ever bought but it is so far the only one I've tried and found to work extremely well. It might almost have too heavy coverage for my skin, after all I have pretty nice skin aside from it being dry I've never had any acne problems or anything with my face. That's the only worry I have with this is that I might end up looking a bit cake face due to the amount of coverage it gives so I have to be very cautious with how much I apply. I have this in NC20 which is a shade darker than my skin. The lady at the counter at the Bay asked if I preferred it to match my skin or be a bit darker. At first we tried the shade which unfortunately I can't remember the name of that matched my skin and MY GOD I looked dead so she then matched me with this. It blends so flawlessly and sinks into my skin almost immediately, if you do have problematic skin this is buildable and for those summery sunny months it has an SPF of 15. This foundation does not go patchy through the day which I find a lot of foundations on my skin do because my skin is so parched. Overall I'm extremely happy with this purchase.

Bye for now! c:

MAC Masterclass Collection

MAC Oval 6 Brush

I was in MAC last week and stumbled upon this beauty, it is THE softest brush I have ever felt. Ever. I was a little reluctant to buy it however as it was $50.50 which I find to be a bit on the expensive side. Has anyone used this brush and if so how did you find it? Any reviews on this would be extremely appreciated!
