Lancome Creme Radiance Cleanser

Hello loves, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

I wish I could say I'm one of those girls who lays about on the weekend in her sweats and a makeup free face but that's not the case. I love doing my makeup on the weekend as I work full time in an office. When the weekend rolls along I love to experiment with colors and different ways of doing my eye shadow to really get my creative juices flowing. It's the perfect time to sit down and take my time. If like me you constantly love looking done up you have to make sure you're taking care of your skin which is where the Lancome Creme Radiance cleanser comes into play.

My skin care routine could be better and I'm fully aware of that but for now here's what I do;
First, I use a makeup wipe to remove the majority of my face makeup. After that I go in with cleanser and a separate eye makeup remover (I wear heavy eye makeup on the daily). After all the makeup's been removed I go in with an eye cream (also Lancome) and a moisturizer to keep my skin hydrated.

The Creme Radiance is a cream to foam cleanser. As you rub it in it begins to foam up on the skin. It lathers well and removes makeup easily although I don't think it works well enough as a sole cleanser. It does not remove mascara well at all and stings the eye area which is why I've taken to using a separate method for my eyes. I've found most cream cleansers really dry my skin out but haven't had any issues with this, just be sure to follow up with some moisturizer!

I don't know if I want to continue using this. I'm going to keep my eyes open for cleansers that are created for helping dry skin as that's what I suffer with most.

What's your favorite cleanser?

Lancome - Bi-Facial Double Action Eye Makeup Remover

Hello loves!

The lighting gods were completely against me today. No matter how I tried to change it or what angle I took the photo at they all turned out terrible. I mean look at the reflection of the light. So sorry you guys!
If there's one thing I despise about winter it's the horrendous lighting. You can never get natural light after working 9-5 and unfortunately I don't have the funds to get a professional set up just yet.

I digress.

The Lancome Bi-Facil Double Action eye makeup remover is my holy grail and you'll rarely catch me without it. I would however like to branch out more and try some high end ones as most if not all the other eye makeup remover products I've tried have been drug store.

I always remove my eye makeup first as I find it's the most stubborn to remove especially for someone like me who likes to wear heavy eye makeup daily.
This is a double action oil based remover. To use, gently shake the bottle to mix the contents together then soak a cotton pad and remove. No fuss needed and removes even the toughest water proof mascara/eye liner. It won't remove everything completely which is fine because I've yet to find one that does and I always proceed to wash my face with a cleanser afterwards.
Since this is oil based it will leave your face with a greasy film which is another reason I do this step first.
Then I finish up with a cleanser to remove any left over eye and face makeup as well as dirt.
My skin isn't sensitive so unfortunately I'm unable to comment on that factor but it doesn't irritate or sting my eyes. I know that should be a given for makeup removers branded for the eye area but you'd be surprised at how many do burn when used around the eyes.

Until I find something better, I'll never be without this.

What do you use to remove your eye makeup?

It's a Miracle

Lancome's Miracle perfume bursts with top notes of Lychee, Freesia & pink peppercorn when first sprayed leaving a lovely floral scent lingering on your skin. As it wears throughout the day you can catch whiffs of the more spicy base notes such as ginger, pepper, amber, musk and patchouli creating a more sensual scent.
Miracle is a very feminine scent that doesn't overpower making it the perfect perfume for your days at the office.
I wouldn't call it long lasting..it lasts but is very subtle almost to the point where unless you're putting your wrist or wherever you may have applied it near your face you really won't smell anything.
The simple bottle design and pretty pink color of the perfume itself looks quite nice sitting on top of the vanity.
I tend to like the more luxurious looking bottles myself but this one is simple and clean cut giving it a minimalistic vibe. Sometimes simple is more.

What's your favorite perfume for the office?

Lancome's Pretty Burgundy

Hello again.
This post was originally planned to be my top 5 Fall & Winter lipsticks but as I wore this today I noticed a lot of things I wanted to mention about it leading to a full blown review.

This is Lancome's Color Design in the shade "Pretty Burgundy" which is a cream finish. Dark colors in cream finishes often lead to a slippery finish that slides out of the lip lines throughout wear, this was no exception. I wish it were as it's an absolutely gorgeous plum toned berry shade.

The swatch is two layers as this is quite sheer for how dark it is when first applied but beware, when you try to layer it on the lips it turns into a disaster.
The formula gets insanely patchy when attempting to make it more opaque leading to splotchy lips and areas where parts of the lipstick start to ball up and flake off, not a flattering look.
Without a lip liner whether it be nude or a berry toned liner this slides everywhere making it look like a clown put your face on for the day. Even with a lip liner, I just used a nude one I noticed slight movement outside my lip lines which wasn't quite too noticeable up close but still bothered me.
If only this was a better formulated lipstick I would be all over it as the color is perfection I just can't be bothered to put that much effort into my lips for the day when I know there are very similar shades on the market with 100 times better formula.
Perfect winter berry?
Maybe not so much.

FOTD # 3 - SILVER

Hey guys. To update everyone regarding my post from yesterday they are still working on getting the fires under control and there have yet to be more evacuations. Thank you to anyone who has donated to help Alberta, being an Albertan citizen it really touches my heart to see all the help we as a province have received and the help that citizens are giving to Fort McMurray residents. It's a heart breaking situation that will hopefully end soon.

I was originally going to post this FOTD yesterday but as you all know I wanted to bring to light what was happening here. I appreciate everyone who took the time to read that and to donate. <3 p="">

I think silver as my inner corner highlight is my new favorite thing!

Foundation: Revlon Colorstay 24 hr Foundation (Dry Skin)
Concealer: MAC Pro Longwear Concealer
Luminizer/Brightening Concealer/Blush/Bronzer: Too Faced Natural Face Palette - I'll be honest, I'm just trying to use this palette up as I actually disliked the majority of the products included in the palette.
Eyes: Lancome Quad
Eyeliner: COVERGIRL's Intensify Me! liner
Mascara: Benefit's Roller Lash
Brows: "Sleek" from The Balm Nude Tude
Lips: Revlon Super Lustrous lipstick in Skyline Pink

Lancome - Red Stiletto

Hey everyone!

I think I may have found my new favourite red lipstick (current favourite: Russian Red - MAC) and this is surprising for me as I didn't think anything would replace Russian Red as my favourite! I've owned this lipstick for a while now but never appreciated it until now this moment.

Red Stiletto is part of Lancomes Color Design Lipsticks. ($36 CAD) It's a cream finish and glides beautifully on the lips with amazing pigmentation. The swatch above was only one swipe across my hand! Hello color pay off! This lasted through almost my whole work day until...I ate pizza and greasy food tends to kill a lipstick no matter how amazing the staying power may be, even then the outline of my mouth was still very bright red. I only had to re apply once and the color stayed bold and did not transfer everywhere as reds are known to do. The formula didn't dry out my lips at all and it looked great all day, no settling into lines or accentuating dry patches. I have no gripes with this at all and that color is G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S.

Easy eyes: Work

First of all I'd like to apologize for the sloppy eyeliner, I've only recently begun wearing it along my upper lash line before I always wore it on the bottom...practice makes perfect right?!

This is a quick and easy look for work created with a duo eyeshadow from Lancome, I believe I got this from my mom in on of the many bonuses Lancome puts on. The top  left photo is shown in much brighter light where as the right is a bit darker, the right is more accurate to the color in real life.

The pink color is "Peep" and the mauve color is "Snap" Of course I used Peep for my base as well as Coastal Scents primer to keep it lasting throughout my day (note: the above photos were taken earlier tonight, after my 8 hr work day) I used Snap in the crease and then blended it out. So quick and easy and subtle enough for work! I think it's a really nice color for fall and this may just become my go to work look but, we'll see!

I really believe that Lancome is an under rated brand I think a lot of people think only older women use it but they have a lot of great products and if it hadn't been for my mom I may have missed out on this and a lot more but they definitely have something for all ages and should not be glanced over.

February Favorites

Hey everyone, yes I have NEVER done a monthly favorites...so here we go... tbh I have been through some financial problems lately so my favorites are mostly old products but I wanted to show you guys anyway!

Victoria's Secret, Love Spell Body Spray -- I LOVE this body spray the scent is cherry blossom & peach definitely more of a summer scent but hey that hasn't stopped me from wearing it. Actually this has become my favorite scent in my collection and I am quite the body spray fanatic.

Lancome Bi Facil eye makeup remover - This is the best eye makeup remover I have ever used and I wear very heavy mascara and eyeliner on a daily basis. It does have oil for you girls or guys out there who don't prefer an oil based remover. However this stuff is so gentle and you're not needlesly tugging at your eye trying to get your makeup off and to get rid of that oily feeling just rinse your face off with water.

A cult favorite - Benefit's Hoola Bronzer - As we all know this has been hyped up for years in the beauty world, great for fair skinned people as it doesn't make you look like you just rubbed dirt on your face. I have that problem a lot....

Rimmel London's Wake Me Up foundation -- When swatched on the hand this stuff looks like a glitter party broke out, oddly enough it doesn't transfer like that on your face., probably to date the best drugstore foundation I've tried but not if you're looking fors omething matte.

e.l.f. studio cream eyeliner -- $3, this little jar of miracles only cost THREE DOLLARS, let me repeat that one more time! If you have not tried this go to e.l.f right now and order it. This is not waterproof but it's withstood every cry I've had with it on, doesn't smudge and I've had for a few months and it hasn't dried out, for three dollars I don't think I'll ever try another eyeliner.

Cetaphil moisturizer -- I'm one to constantly complain about dry skin especially in Alberta's cold harsh winters but this has stopped that and it hasn't bothered my skin at all but it has made it feel ten times more moisturized.

That's everything, what were you guys loving this month?
