H&M Wishlist

H&M

Hello everyone!

It's been a while since my last wish list post and Christmas is approaching quickly so what better time than now to create one?
*hint, hint family*

If you don't know already H&M is one of my favorite stores. Their clothes are affordable and great quality. I know a lot of people who think cheap means poorly made but I don't find that to be the case with H&M. So I created a mini wish list of some products I'm currently coveting.

H&M Beauty - I've seen countless posts about their latest addition, a beauty range. From what I've read the products sound excellent and for the price I'm definitely eyeing some things up for the next time I'm in store.

Satin Bomber -  To be honest, I've never owned a bomber jacket as I don't think I could pull it off. Still would like to see if I can style it for me in some way to make it work. The floral print on this would be perfect for the upcoming spring.

Biker Leggings -  Honestly you guys I live in leggings and I don't own a pair like these. How cute would these be paired with a cropped leather jacket and some ankle boots?

Skinny Jeans - Jeans are a staple even though personally I wear them rarely these days.

Turtleneck Sweater - Alberta's winters are some of the coldest, one day last year it was - 66 degrees Celsius. That's outrageous. For being a born and raised Albertan I'm not equipped well in the clothing department for winter and turtlenecks are great for keeping warm.

What are you guys coveting?

H&M

H&M

Hello loves!

Spring is in the air and I couldn't be more thrilled!
What better way to welcome Spring to my blog than with a Spring fashion wish list highlighting one of my favorite stores, H&M.

Suede Loafers - Okay, I've never owned a pair of loafers before. But I've seen so many fashion bloggers rocking these recently obviously sparking my interest. Comfortable but still stylish and the pale pink coloring is to die for.

Khaki Skinny Jeans - Khaki has been blowing up the last couple years and I'd really enjoy something different from my usual black legging/skinny jeans

Floral Jumpsuit - I hope floral stays on trend because I truly love it and this jumpsuit is perfect for spring.

Bralette - I love lace, it can really make an outfit.

Fringe Sandals - With spring coming there's always a reason to purchase a new pair of sandals.

Dress - the cut out detailing on this is like nothing else I currently have in my wardrobe and I love wearing dresses, especially in spring.

Bomber Jacket - Honestly, I'm not sure how I'd style this but I've always admired bomber jackets and the quilting on the sleeves makes it a little more special.

Ankle boots - I'm in dire need of a new pair of boots. Mine are all currently looking worse for wear.

Jumpsuit - Mint is one of my favorite colors and this jumpsuit screams summer to me.

What trends are you loving for Spring?

OOTD - Just Give Me A Reason

Hello again loves!

This morning, I stepped out to take some snaps of my outfit and even though it's still -10 degrees outside it felt like spring. Of course, I'm comparing this to the last two days where it was -37 so it's not spring yet but it sure has warmed up a lot. I can't wait until the sun pokes out once again!

Fun fact: My tights never dried fully last night, so I was quite chilled to the bone while taking these.

I know my last OOTD featured this exact skirt but I've been loving it! It's a fun and easy print to pair and is perfect for the office.

Details;
Sweater: H&M
Shirt: Aritzia (could not find on website)
Skirt and Triangle Necklace: Thrifted
Boots: Forever 21
Slinky Neckalce; H&M

I hope you guys like it.

What's your favorite print to work with?

Fighting Off The Winds - OOTD

Hey everyone.
I'm so sorry for the lack of posts recently things have just picked up a lot for me at work after the holidays and catching up on things at home have got me so tired lately blogging honestly has been the last thing on my mind but I want that to change as soon as possible.

This morning while attempting to get a decent outfit post I spent more time fighting off the winds than anything so out of a batch of about ten photos these two were the best I came out with.
I apologize for the quality but I was running late and was loving my outfit today and wanted to share it with you guys who I hope like it as well, let me know in the comments if you do!

Jacket: Charlotte Russe (I got this many years ago, couldn't find online)

Mini Haul

Hello again.
It's just going to be a quick post today. I came into some of my Christmas money earlier than expected so of course I headed to the mall for a little treat yo'self.

I thought the limited edition Metal Matte palette by Kat Von D was long gone and sold out every where but no. As I was perusing through Sephora low and behold they had two left so I snatched one up immediately. This was a pretty pricey palette but it's HUGE. I'd say it's about double the size of any other palette I own and  it will take me eons to hit pan on any of these shades.  So far I've only used two of the neutral shades (Oak & Sabre) but I'm itching to get a full review up as soon as possible for you guys!

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe Kat Von D designs all her own packaging as well and this one is extremely well done and very cool. When you flip the palette upside down it says matte but when flipped the other way it says metal which I thought was a very funky and unique design.

These colors though, I'm drooling over here. There is a great selection of color and neutrals which I really like because with most other brands their palettes always consist of only neutrals or only colors so I love that Kat Von D has incorporated both making this really the only palette you'd need if you were say to travel and the mirror is huge if you like to use palette mirrors. I never do but it's nice to have if I end up needing it.
You're getting 13 matte shades & nine shimmers as well so an outstanding variety!

The next two items were from H&M.
I grabbed a pair of leggings with sheer paneling, which I completely bought in the wrong season but oh well. I'm excited for the weather to warm up so I can wear these babies.  The last item I purchased was just a flannel shirt, I think these are a great layering piece and while trying to find an outfit last week I noticed that I had given away all my plaid shirts and I think it's one of those staple wardrobe items so I picked up a new one.

H&M - Online now in Canada!

H&M

I have exciting news everyone!
You can now shop online through H&M's Canadian website
I've honestly been waiting for this moment for years now. Canada seems to always get shafted in the online world, either websites don't ship to us (Ulta, I'm looking at you) or shipping charges are out of this world (there are many guilty parties for this one.)
To celebrate this occasion I created my winter H&M wish list.
H&M is one of my favorite stores and as soon as I found out they now offer online shopping for Canada the first thing I did was hop on the website to have a little gander.

I linked the site & all items above if any other fellow Canadians would like to peruse it.

Long Cardigan - You can never go wrong with cardigans, especially over sized ones. I like the mossy/olive green colour of this, I think it will be perfect for fall or a warmer winter day. I have a very similar one also from H&M in Gray but it doesn't have pockets.

Ankle Boots - I'm the type of person who never really buys shoes, hence why they're on my list. Ankle boots are always on trend and look good with almost anything you pair them with.

Cable Knit Hat - We all need winter accessories and this was just too cute to not put on my wish list. I'm a total beanie fiend. I would much rather wear cute hats than headbands.

Poncho - I've never owned a poncho and I think this would be a fabulous staple piece for Fall & Winter that you could dress up or down and still look put together.

Satin Blouse - Satin is a beautiful looking fabric and this burgundy wine colour is perfect for the holidays season.

Turtleneck Jumper - I definitely don't own enough thick winter clothes. Living in Alberta where our winters are minus -40 degrees Celsius these are a must.

Polo Neck Jumper - I added this thinking it would be a good sweater but now looking at it closer this would be much more like a dress on me as I'm quite short. Either way it would be a good winter dress if layered over some tights with high boots.

Wool Coat -  A nice warm coat that will be keep me cozy in these harsh winters. I only have one other nice winter coat which is a pea coat but it's quite old so I think it's high time I purchased a new one.

Warm Lined Chelsea Boots -  I'm in desperate need of new boots seeing as my dog chewed holes in the ones I bought last year. *sigh* The life of a dog owner. These wouldn't be ideal for the heavy snowfall days but for days where there isn't heaps of snow on the ground they would be okay as they are lined on the inside.

OOTD - Purple & Gold

Sweater/Skirt/Tights: Thrifted
Necklace - H&M
Boots: Forever 21

Purple & Gold might just become another favorite color combination of mine.

My friend actually gave me a bunch of clothes to look through last night that she no longer wanted and I picked out this purple knit sweater which has lace up the sides of the arms as well which I thought was such a cute touch. I'll need to take a picture to showcase them. She also gave me this color blocked skirt which is great for work!
Looking at this outfit I just realized everything aside from the boots and necklace was given to me from other people.

I hope you guys like this look

OOTD - MISMATCHED

"Fashions fade, style is eternal." —Yves Saint Laurent

Hey everyone!

Who else loves mismatched outfits?
I don't believe in the so called "rules" when it comes to fashion. Everyone has their own sense of style and if you feel good in it then I say why not go ahead and rock it. Confidence makes the outfit. For me I've always been passionate about fashion, getting up in the morning and picking out an outfit for the day is like therapy for me. I could spend hours just creating outfits and different looks for different occasions. For those who don't know me I've been an aspiring stylist for a long time but of course it's not an industry that's easy to break into. A girl can dream right?

I've been thinking of applying to F.I.T for a while now but I'm also a person who likes a safety net. I really wish I could be that person who just leaves everything they know behind and hop on a plane and chase their dreams, but that's not me. That's not to say I haven't tried, I've applied for many internships, I've written letters to people I've volunteered at Western Canada Fashion Week, etc. It's really difficult to break in but I'm still trying and I'm hoping some day someone will notice.

I digress though, on to the outfit. Different patterns especially ones such as these many people wouldn't even dare go near but I thought it looked good and I felt amazing in it so I honestly could care less what others have to say. I am aware that the tights are ripped but it gives it a much more grunge look and I love it and how cute is this Space Invaders skirt?

Boots: Call It Spring
Skirt: Divine (I loved this store, sadly all locations have closed *cries*)
Cardigan: Who hasn't pulled old sweaters from their mom's closet?
Crop Top: Topshop
Necklace: H&M - I've never seen a necklace like this so naturally I picked it up.

I hope you guys like it and let me know if you want to see more fashion posts. I need to find a photographer or invest in a tripod though.

OOTD - Summer is in the air

Hey guys!
The weather out here is getting warmer which means time for dresses and uncovered legs. I honestly couldn't tell you why my legs look so ghastly on the left side as these pictures were taken at the exact time in the exact light.

Cardigan: H&M Similar
Dress: Forever 21
Boots: Forever 21

Easy and quick look but the patterned dress still gives it that little something.

=)

Instagram OOTD// 100th post!!!

Hey loves! I apologize for the horrible quality outfit posts, I need to save up for a lense/tripod as the one good lense I had took a trip in the river, boo along with the camera itself which somehow surprisingly still works! P.s. this is my blogs 100th post, hello milestone!

This was what I wore today although for work I traded up the combat boots for
pale pink flats as I work in an office. I wish I could have got a better photo but I've got no full length mirror either, all these things to save for! I was wearing a handful of rings to add some jazz as well, haha.

Jacket: Charlotte Russe (couldn't find any thing similar on the website)

Necklace: Similar

Shirt: Aritzia

Pants: Similar

Boots: Similar

Congrats to me on my 100th post =)

See you soon!

NOTD

Hello everyone, just a short post and a quick review on the e.l.f polish in "Chic Confetti"
I wanted to try something new with my nails aside from painting them one solid color so I used H&M's polish in "Chill Out" for my base and E.l.f.s "Chic Confetti" to do the bottom area in glitter which is how my thumbs were supposed to look as well but I made a mistake and ended up fixing it by painting the whole nail in glitter. Oops.

Chic Confetti is the best glitter polish I've used yet I got it in the bright nail polish cube ($14 CAD) by E.l.f. because of E.l.f.s prices I didn't expect much but it dries super quick  and actually creates a pretty even coat compared to some other glitter polishes I've tried.

I haven't tried to remove yet so maybe I'll get lucky and it'll be a breeze to remove!

Chill Out!

Hello everyone, it’s been a bit since I’ve actually posted instead of reblogging. I just wanted to do a quick review of H&M’s nail polish in Chill Out. These retail for $5.95 in Canadian H&M stores, so less than most drug store polishes. The color pay off on this polish is amazing, you only need one coat I like using two though. The polish glides on effortlessly and dries quite fast. It doesn’t last longer than any other polish, tends to chip at about the three day mark. Overall a fantastic polish for the price!
Until next time!

Boxing Day Havoc

Hello everyone!
As you are all aware Christmas just passed and Christmas comes with gifts, now I got some money and gift cards so of course I wanted to head out and go shopping immediately. I've never been to the mall on Boxing Day before so I took a chance and braved the crowds of people....well not really I got into the mall went to grab something to eat. The food court was so packed there were folks on the floor with their food trays, I will tell you something I did not expect that at all, needless to say I called my boyfriend as soon as this happened to come get me so I chumped out. I'm not sure if the States is like Canada but here instead of "Boxing Day" sales they have "Boxing Week Sales" some stores do have a really special deal on Boxing Day but most sales are for the week. I had three gift cards, one to Aritzia (my favorite store), La Senza and H&M (another favorite) I didn't pick up a lot but I did grab a few things which I thought I'd share. I'm not going to share what I bought from La Senza because well I don't feel like sharing my panty purchases with the world.

First off....Aritzia
You can't really see but they have a patched panel around the calf area and they have zippers on the back as well, nice tight fitting leggings. Most likely will pair this with boots or a pair of heels.

H&M

I also found a pair of black disco pants which I absolutely fell in love with but unfortunately they only had my size in the gray and not black. I couldn't find the product on the website but I got a gold chain necklace with black feathers all around it, not sure what I'm going to pair with it. I'll be sure to snap a shot of it when I get home. Any ideas?
That's all for now, did anyone else try to brave the crowds of people?
