LUSH - A French Kiss

Hey everyone!

Wow, it's been a while since I've posted. For a while there I felt really lost, constantly trying to think of new post ideas and everything I thought up didn't feel like it would be good enough. I was in a blogging rut which happens to the best of us.

Speaking of ruts and stress a bubble bath is always the best cure.

That's where the Lush A French Kiss bubble bar comes in. Bubble bars are one of my favorite products Lush has to offer, Candy Mountain being my holy grail.

A French Kiss is infused with Rosemary, Lavender & Thyme. Lavender is and always has been a favorite scent of mine (not the chemical smelling lavender you smell in many products).

The bubble bars create mountains of bubbles opposed to the bath bombs that while look gorgeous and smell gorgeous don't provide bubbles as generously and I love to lie back and soak in the bubble glory.
A French Kiss turns the water into a lovely blend of purple and pink making you feel like a princess as you lie back and relax.
This is fantastic for anyone who needs to calm down before bed or who just had a rough day at work and needs some pamper time.

I'm sorry for my lack of posts, I will get back into the swing of things.
Don't you worry!

Simple Pleasures - Baths

Baths are such a luxury and I often forgot that.
I recently stopped by Lush as I was craving a bath. Let's face it baths really aren't that fantastic without some bath bombs, bubbles, wine and music. I picked up one of the new products the Lava Lamp bath bomb
On the Lush website it say's it will be in stores soon but I picked up mine in store!
The purple orbs are cocoa butter balls and you can definitely feel the lather of moisture it releases as it fizzles. This is made up of a triple citrus threat including sicilian mandarins, tangerines and orange flower. The smell of this is amazing, citrus is in my top five favorite scents but when this was put in the bath the scent retired quicker than I hoped.
I didn't find that the orbs melted quickly enough to really make the water look like a lava lamp. I wish the orb amount was doubled as I think it would of made a world of difference!

It was so relaxing to just lay in the bath forget all my worries.

What are your favorite Lush products?

a different review, a throwback to an old favorite drugstore bath brand.

So, this may seem like a strange review for a lot of people but the only bath products people seem to review is LUSH and I wanted to throw it back to the drugstore days of bath gift sets before LUSH existed.

When I was younger I received lots and lots of bath gift sets for pretty much any holiday involving presents and a lot of those were Fa sets. Has anyone heard of Fa? My guess is no but I love these soaps. I'm much more of a shower gel person however.

Fa's soaps are made with coconut oil and they all have the marble look you see above, they are also preservative free in case you care about those kinds of things. I think the difference in these soaps to many is the coconut oil. It doesn't dry out your skin like many others because of that factor which is why I hold these soaps high above any others and they're very cheap as they are only a drugstore product.

If you are on the lookout for new soap, I recommend giving this a go.

It's a mini bath haul!

Hey everyone,  just a little mini haul. After taking the photo I realized I forgot something. Rookie mistake! haha.
I went to Bath & Body Works a little while back and they were of course having their infamous buy two get one, buy three get two, so naturally I was drawn right in. Yes there is one product that is actually from Victoria’s Secret.
The item missing in this little photo is the Warm Sugar Vanilla perfume. I picked up the Lovespell body spray from VS and wow I fell in LOVE by far one of my favorite scents!
The other products are the Warm Vanilla Sugar body spray and lotion and the Japanese Cherry Blossom body lotion. Hmm can you tell I like vanilla? ;)

Ultrabland

The other day I was in LUSH and I am getting to the point where I almost never want to venture in there anymore because the sales people are just ALL over you, if you're like me I would much prefer walking into a store and be able to browse without having someone one me every second pushing products on me. I understand its their job but it gets quite annoying. The terribly pushy girls at LUSH however gave me a few samples of some cleansers and such. I told the lady I have extremely dry skin and she recommended Ultrabland, I find the smell of it quite off putting to be honest but it also removes make up, that's a bonus!

Here's what the LUSH website has to say about it

Non-irritating beeswax cleanser

A hugely popular cult product, Ultrabland is a thick, rich emulsion of essential oils, honey and beeswax to take off any make up or residue that has built up on your face throughout the day. Unlike most make up removers, Ultrabland leaves your skin feeling soft and nourished, thanks to soothing rosewater and iris flower extract. Suitable for all skin types, Ultrabland is a classic LUSH cleanser coveted by staff and customers alike for it’s effectiveness. Not so bland after all, is it?

Hopefully it will work and hopefully I will be able to get past the smell.

That's all for now!

Winter and Dry Skin

Hello everyone! My skin is dry naturally and gets about a thousand times more dry during the winter season. I've never for the life of me been able to find any body cream, lotion butter or any moisturizing product to keep the dryness at bay. It's horrible and really unpleasant for me. Recently I hit up Bath and Body Works and picked up two of their holiday creams. The Winter Candy Apple and Vanilla Bean. I'll be honest I mostly bought these for the smells, they smell LOVELY. Do any of you have dry skin and find it difficult to find products to quench your skins thirst?
