Loreal Telescopic Carbon Black Mascara

Good morning loves!
I don't know about you guys but mascaras are one of my favorite products to test out. I'm constantly looking for new ones as there's so many on the market I don't think you could ever tire of trying new ones!

Of course I have my favorites, one being Benefit's Roller Lash and the other being Maybelline's Colossal. This Loreal one while good did have a downfall for me. It's a lengthening mascara which makes your lashes look incredibly long but it doesn't give them the nice full volume like the two I mentioned above. I prefer volumizing mascaras because they make the lashes look nice and full almost like a set of falsies. The brush is nice and small with many spikes and coats the lashes with a nice pigmented black coat. It didn't flake throughout the day which I find a lot of mascaras struggle with. I like this but moving forward I'm going to test it out with a volumizing mascara as well and see how the two work together! Maybe Lash Paradise?

What's your HG mascara?

Loreal True Match Super Blendable Foundation

Hey loves.

The weather in Alberta is finally starting to warm up and I couldn't be happier!
I don't know about anyone else with dry skin but unfortunately I don't have the budget to be spending 50 plus dollars on foundation and I cannot for the life of me find anything from the drug store that works well with my skin.
While not a complete bust the Loreal True Blend Super Blendable Liquid foundation didn't work as well as I hoped. I read nothing but raving reviews on this before purchasing from those with all different skin types. It's packaged in a glass bottle that looks much smaller than most but is the standard one fluid ounce. I picked up the shade "Porcelain." I like that this has SPF (albeit very small amount).  The foundation is very watery and runny but has a surprisingly good amount of coverage, medium but easily buildable to full. You only need a small dollop to cover the entire face as it does blend out very nicely on the skin. When first applied it looks stunning but throughout the day it does the usual slipping off of the nose and around the chin. It settles slightly into fine lines and although it's only a little it settles into every single one you have. Again, looks lovely from far away but up close you can definitely see your problem areas. Not to mention it's quite expensive for a drug store product running just about $20 CAD.

Would I buy it again? No probably not.

What's your go to foundation?

Loreal Hydra Genius

Good morning loves!
It's been a minute and I'm sorry. I've been stuck in a blogging rut and although I've had tons of empties sitting around waiting to be reviewed I just couldn't find the motivation to do so until today!

Time and time again I've mentioned how dry my skin is. It's horrible! Truthfully, I'd love to have oily skin. I'm always hunting down new products that promise non stop moisture. Call in Loreal's Day and Night Hydra Genius face cream. It promises 72 HR hydration!
It's priced at $25 CAD and can be found in most Shopper's Drug Marts. It's packaged in a sturdy glass jar giving it more of a luxurious feel. The cream inside is nice and cooling as you rub it in the skin and as it soaks in it does make the skin feel more plumped with moisture, 72 hours worth though?  No, definitely not.
Overall, a good value for your money, it plumps the skin and although it doesn't last the forecasted 72 hours if use this day and night you will find it helps retain your skin's moisture. I'd buy it again but am still searching for something with more hydration.

What do you use to retain moisture?

Drugstore Diamonds - Loreal Infalliable Shadows

{left to right: Endless Choclat, Magnetic Coral, Purple Obsession & Pepsy Coral}

Hello loves!

I know we all love our high end & luxury brands but the drug stores really do hold some hidden gems. My newest and most recent discovery being the Loreal Infalliable 24 hr shadows. I know these have been around for a while but Loreal as a brand was never on my radar as I never really saw anything I was interested in. These were on clearance and I was looking for some new things to try so I picked up four of them!

Endless Chocolat - A gorgeous chocolate brown with gold glitter reflect. You can't see the glitter in the swatch but when applied on the eyes it' stunning. I love this color albeit being a tad bit hard to blend out.

Magnetic Coral - A beautiful light coral shade that is gorgeous all over the lid.

Purple Obsession - This isn't a shade of purple I would normally go for but as an impulsive buyer of course I had to get it. Extremely pigmented and blends easily. I love doing a purple eye with this smoked out in the outer corner.

Pepsy Coral - When looking at Pepsy Coral and Magnetic Coral in the containers they look almost identical in color but as you can see in the swatches Pepsy Coral is much darker.

Loreal's Infalliable shadows are incredibly pigmented and three out of the four that I own blended well. Endless Chocolat took a bit of extra effort but it's a darker shade as well so build it slowly.
I'm definitely interested in picking up more of these as I was pleasantly surprised because most of the Loreal products I've tried thus far haven't impressed me.

What Infalliable shade is your favorite?

Product Regret | The WORST BB Cream

Oh hello loves.

This post is nothing like my regular content and I almost feel bad enough that I don't want to publish it but on the other hand I don't want any poor unfortunate soul picking this up.

The Loreal Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream in Light.
Where do I even begin with this product?

When it first comes out of the tube it's a thin white liquid but as you start rubbing it into your skin it oxidizes immediately! I'm not talking a little oxidization here I'm talking full blown orange.

In the above photo you can see that it looks like a normal face cream and here you can CLEARLY see the line of where I've rubbed it in. The first time I went to use this on my face the moment I saw the orange I immediately washed it off. It turned me so orange that I could be could have been cast as an oompa loompa.
It looked so horrendous that I couldn't even bear to give it a proper testing by trying it out on my face. This color is supposed to be light I can only imagine what the other tones look like.
There are so many good reviews on this and I just don't understand how it could possibly receive such high ratings?

If you've tried it and had a good experience, please let me know!

Loreal Collagen Micro-Pulse

Hey loves!

I'm twenty three now, almost twenty four and due to my desert dry skin I've noticed lines under my eyes and darker circles. (Gasp)
Naturally I've been on the hunt for a decent eye cream. The last one I tried was the Nivea DNAge Eye Cream, see my review here.

When I saw this my immediate thought was that's a gimmicky product. It's the Loreal Collagen Micro Pulse, two step system.
Step one is an eye cream and step two is a micro pulser you use after applying the cream.

I'll be honest I bought it because I was on sale and even though it screamed gimmick to me I was still intrigued.

The outcome, it did absolutely nothing and I'm over joyed I didn't pay full price for it. The cream itself is far too light and sinks in immediately still leaving my under eyes crying for moisture. It did nothing in the ways of brightening my dark circles or helping with the subtle lines that have appeared in the recent year. The vibrator did nothing either and actually stopped working all together within a week. I have nothing positive to say about this product, I've never been more disappointed in something.

Loreal please discontinue this.

Please leave me recommendations for eye creams below, what do you use?

*Loreal Extraordinary Oil

Oh how I missed you guys! I hope you are all doing well. Sorry for the absence unfortunately life takes the front seat and the blog takes the back.

The Loreal Hair Expertise Extraordinary Hair Range is a line meant for normal to very dry hair. The range is made with 6 oils including; Argan Oil (healing, protecting, nourishment), Sunflower Oil (hydration), Alma Oil (brittleness), Soy Oil (Nutrition), Chamomile Oil and last the magical oil everyone loves Coconut Oil (repair)

I have very fine hair so I was skeptical of using an oil based hair range as my hair tends to get greasy quickly but this quickly changed my mind. The line is designed to nourish dry hair and create weightless hair. I've never tried a shampoo that has really wowed me in my life but this line came pretty damn close. After using this for a few washes I was over at my mom's and she noticed my hair was looking much healthier and I don't get many comments on my hair.

I use the mask once a week as I think it's too heavy to be using daily. I just put some through the ends of my hair let it sit for about five minute then rinse it out when I shower. The range has a surprisingly lovely smell to it. I've been using these products for about a month and have noticed significant changes in my hair.

First thing and probably my favorite as I feel it was a big reason my hair was so unhealthy is that I don't have to shower as much it seems to keep the grease at bay quite well! The shampoo does not lather well but most oil based shampoos don't so I wasn't surprised. This changed my skeptical outlook as it made my hair more manageable and soft and by nourishing my hair it means I have far less breakage which I am very prone to!

I love this line a lot but....I do like to switch up my hair care routine quite regularly so I might not come back to this for a while.

*Influenster did send me these products to review however all opinions expressed are my own.

*Loreal Fibralogy

Hey guys! I was kindly sent the new Loreal Fibralogy hair care line (shampoo, conditioner and serum) courtesy of Influenster and Loreal Canada in the Fibralogy Voxbox, however all opinions on the products are on my own. Fibralogy is supposed to work by expanding the hair from inside by use of Innovation "Filloxane" which "penetrates and diffuses in the hair fibre. Hair expands from within. The cumulative action is that the substance remains in the fibre and increases application after application. Hair becomes progressively thicker." I'm here to test that theory!

As you can see there was a difference, in the first photo yep I have bald spots and yes it's embarrassing but I have fine baby hair and there's nothing I can change about that unfortunately.. but the second photo which is about a week and a half of use I have no bald spots and my hair overall just looks much healthier.

I didn't really care for the serum and I think to truly test out how well the serum works you would have to try just using the shampoo and conditioner for a while and then add in the serum to see if there is a difference. The directions of the serum also said to use a dime sized amount but the serum itself was very watery so I found you had to use much more to cover your hair...it wasn't really like a serum at all in my opinion as it wasn't thick enough.

The shampoo and conditioner on the otter hand I LOVED and will continue to use. The shampoo lathers so well and both products smell amazing and as the photos above show they do make a difference and I am very skeptical about hair thickening products as I have tried MANY others on the market and never saw a change. Loreal you have significantly improved my hair and although it's not "thick" by any means it's an improvement so thank you.

Who else got this voxbox and tried it out, what did you think?
