The Fairy Tale Tag

{from my trip to Florida a few years back}

I found this tag over on Jessie's Blog {All Things Beautiful} I'll be honest and say it was quite a way back in the archives but I personally love browsing older posts and seeing how their blogs have grown, call it creepy if you wish.

Snow White - Do you consider yourself beautiful?

Most of the time yes. I do wear makeup daily but not because I think I'm ugly by any means it's mostly just to look more put together for work and I look quite young so it helps me to not get mistaken for a child as often. We have all times though where we are down on ourselves and I've had days where I do think I could look better but you need to learn to appreciate your inner beauty.

Sleeping Beauty - How many hours do you sleep at night?

If I don't get at least eight I'm a complete monster in the mornings. No one wants to be around me if I haven't got enough sleep as I am the grouchiest person you will ever meet. I'm not a morning person at all. I love sleep so much I would literally sleep my life away if I could.

Cinderella - Do you have a curfew?

That's the great thing about being an adult is that you don't have such a thing. My mom was never strict with me as a child so long as she knew where I was and who I was with it was okay for me to stay out.

Rapunzel - Do you love being outside?

I was always a home body but in the summer and even recently in these warmer winter days you will catch me outside soaking up some of that sweet Vitamin D, so yes.

Red Riding Hood - Do you trust strangers easily?

No. I have though trusted some people early on in a relationship to find out they weren't as trustworthy as I thought. Even good friends can lie to you unfortunately.

The Wolf and the Seven Young Kids - Are You Easily Fooled?

No, I definitely have a good head on my shoulders when it comes to being fooled or lied to. If it's a silly little joke or something then yes I can be fooled but if you are doing something to wrong me, I will see right through it.

Beauty & The Beast - What Makes Someone Beautiful In Your Eyes?

Personality. If you are kind and honest and an all around good person I'll be more drawn to you. Making me laugh is a bonus.

The Little Mermaid - What Would You Sacrifice For Love?

If it was for family I would sacrifice anything but as far as a romantic relationship is concerned it would truly depend on how long I'd been with the person. I've been in my current relationship for four and a half years and I've already sacrificed relocating for him and I don't regret that decision as I've come back to the town where my family lives as well.

The Frog Prince - What do you find Disgusting?

Feet. That is all.

Jack & the Beanstalk - Do You Have Any Plants?

Oh god no. I can't keep plants alive to save my life. I killed my bosses tree that he's had for over forty years. Oops.

Puss In Boots - Do you have Pets, if no do you want them?

I have a Bull Mastiff named Luna and I LOVE her more than anything. She really is the best friend a girl could ask for. If you're interested in learning more about here, see my Furry Friend Tag

Bluebeard - What is your weak point?

I suffer with extreme anxiety and stress issues. I will stress about stress before there is even anything to stress about and I get anxious about the littlest things. It's quite harmful to the body and mind and I'm working towards managing it better.

Pinocchio - What is your biggest Wish?

I would kill to get a job in the fashion or beauty industry. That for me would be a dream come true. I work really hard on my blog and the rest of my social media {mostly I focus on my blog and Instagram as I don't want to spread myself too thin} and to see something come out of this would be an incredible opportunity. I also aspire to own some land so I can rescue dogs.

Peter Pan - What is your mental age?

Emotionally, I'm probably still a teenager. I have very poor emotional stability and struggle constantly with stress and anxiety. Overall though I would say I'm within a couple years of my age {23} as I've always worked and I put bills before anything else so I do have my priorities in order in that sense.

The Star Money - What is your most valuable possession?

Does my dog count as a possession? If the answer is no then it would probably be my Macbook Pro, only because it was the first ever extremely expensive item I bought myself whilst working part time in a grocery store during high school.

The Snow Queen - Who is your best friend and what would you do for them?

My best friend is named Caitlin and we've known each other since I was two years old. I would do anything for her or her family. Although I've moved away from her when we do still get the chance to see each other it's nothing but love and laughs.

The Princess and the Pea - Are You Sensitive?

Very much so like I stated above. I'm an emotional wreck if something bad happens.

Godfather Death - What Qualities make a good parent?

The ability to love because I think without it, your child has a much lesser chance of being a kind person.

The Worn - Out Dancing Shoes - Do you like parties?

Now, no. I get way too exhausted by like eight o clock to be out dancing. At the age of 18 though, yes. Loved it and went out almost three times a week!

The Emperor's New Clothes - Do You Care A lot About Your Clothing?

Yes, yes and yes. Fashion is my biggest passion and the thing that feeds my ambition. My closet is about to break due to all the clothing in there. I hold such sentimental value to my clothes I find it hard to get rid of things if I have a fond memory attached to them,

The Brave Little Tailor - Do you consider yourself brave?

No, not at all. I cry when I see a spider and am petrified of public speaking. Social Media has helped on that front but I still wonder what people think of me and if they like me. I wish I didn't care but I do.

DISNEY BEAUTY

Hey everyone!
Did you guys know that in Disneyland they actually carry their own line of beauty products named "Beautifully Disney"

My initial thoughts were who would have thought Disney would have a beauty line!? Immediately after that thought I wondered what the products would be like and naturally I picked up some things. I never did purchase any of the actual makeup but I did grab this G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S brush set as well as a super fun and cute Minnie Mouse kabuki which I mentioned in a Friday favorites a while back.

Can we just appreciate these beautiful brushes for a moment?
I think they're almost too pretty to use in the sense that you don't want to ruin them by using them and having them lose their shape, color etc. I honestly don't use these that much for the above reason. I know why buy makeup brushes you won't use? JUST LOOK AT THEM, that's why.

In the set there is a blush brush, blending, shadow and liner brush as well as another one but I am not 100 % sure if it's a tiny little foundation brush or like a concealer brush but I used it to put foundation in the smaller areas of my face such as the area around my nose.

Blush Brush
I love this brush, I just washed all of these yesterday to make them look lovely for all of you. No shedding on any of these and minimal loss of shape. This brush is perfect for bronzer. I've used this brush the least mostly because they were a bit more expensive then my ELF brushes which I use daily.  I really want this to keep it's shape and am hoping that it will because these weren't cheap but we'll have to see how it fairs after some more washes!

Concealer/Foundation Brush
If anyone could actually tell me what I'm supposed to use this for that would be awesome. I've used it for my under eye concealer and putting foundation in the smaller areas such as the area around my nose and around my eye brows. I don't have any gripes with this brush but it's not something I use a lot nor really care for. I'm not a fan of these tiny little face brushes, I'd much rather apply my concealer with my fingers but it's not by any means a bad brush.

Shadow Brush
This brush is WAY too big for my eyes. It pretty much is the size of my eyelid. It's dense and great for packing on color but just too big for me to even to use. It doesn't work for me at all which is unfortunate as I do think it would make a great shadow brush. I'm not that advanced with my eye shadow technique that I could find a way to make this work yet but maybe in the future I will figure out a way to use this.

Blending/Liner Brush

This blending brush is the highlight of the whole package for me. I love, love, love it. It is great for using after you've already finished your eye shadow but you still want to blend it out more. It's amazing, I have nothing but good things to say about this brush. It blends shadow out beautifully! By far this is my favorite blending brush I have ever used. Creates effortless eye looks.
The liner brush I don't really use often as I have a smaller one I like to use as I don't have the most steady hand in the world, which makes a cat eye difficult.

I have to say if you can find the blending brush separately it is worth the buy, you will not regret it. It's so soft, fluffy and blends like a dream. Overall I'm not disappointed by any of the brushes. I think if they were a different color and weren't so damn gorgeous that I would get a lot more use out of them but for now they all sit out on my vanity as decoration minus the blending brush of course.

Friday Loves....on a Saturday: Kabuki Brushes

Hello everybody!

Sorry about this, you know my Friday loves being posted on well a Saturday, unfortunately sometimes there are other things I need to take care of. Please pardon the dirty brush as Sunday is brush cleaning day!

My Friday love for this week is Kabukis. They are FANTASTIC and a great multipurpose brush (for my ladies/gents who don't like to carry a thousand things on a trip)

The polka dot one is from Disneyland (of all places) but its so soft, I've washed it multiple times and haven't had a problem with shedding nor has it lost it's shape, I can't remember the cost of this one.  My other kabuki and the clearly more loved one is e.l.f.s now e.l.f is very hit and miss but I bought this in a set of 25 brushes and I believe the cost was around $75 for the set and I use a good majority of them daily so it is a good buy and comes with a brush wrap as well for all you MUA's out there.

Honestly, the only reason I use the E.l.f one more is that the Disney one is just to pretty to use so I just leave it on my vanity, haha.

I like to use these to buff my foundation in as I HATE the foundation brushes that are like painting your face it takes way too long and I can never get an even application and with these there are no problems! Easiest way I've found to apply foundation and could also be used for powder, blush. bronzer etc.

If you don't have a Kabuki brush in your collection please go get one! You will thank me!

=)

Something different

Hello loves, well I have a different post for you today. I want you guys to know more about me and my hobbies, so I thought why not show you all that I am a nerd who loves to game! I don't do it as often anymore but it doesn't mean that every once in a while I have a day that is a complete nerd day with junk food and video games all day long because I do at least once a month, haha.
So here is my game collection!

PSP
Truth be told I haven't played my PSP in years but I will still include it, I never got too far in getting any games as you can see but I do have Cars and Over the Hedge and Zathura is a movie, planning on giving these away soon, hopefully kids still use PSP's haha!

WII

Recently just got my Wii back, of course I have the two games it came with (Wii Sports and Sports Resort). Not pictured in either picture I have three DDR games and I must say I am a deadly DDR player. =) Donkey Kong Country, which is just like the old one and one of the most famous game series on the planet, I have Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword, which I wasn't a fan of. I still play Twilight Princess a lot, adore that game and the music in Zelda is always beautiful <3

Xbox 360

Can you tell I love my xbox? Yes there is a movie box there if anyone noticed but it actually has NHL 10 in it because I lost the game case so I improvised! Quick list for you guys;
Assassins Creed 2 - Just beat this recently!
Call of Duty Modern Warfare - Actually not a big fan of any of the COD games, I did have Black OPs as well but somebody stole it.
Dragon Age: Origins: Recently beat this as well, such a good game. Highly recommend if you love RPGS
GTA 4 and 5 - Currently replaying the fourth.
L.A. Noire
Left 4 Dead - My favourite FPS game, ever. Hello zombie apocalypse.
Mass Effect
PGA Masters
MX - ATV - pretty fun racing game, it's hard too as you have to use both control sticks the whole time.
The Return AKA NHL 10, haha.
Ridge Racer 6
Saints Row - this game is absolutely ridiculous...
Sim's Bustin' Out and Sims 2 - Who doesn't love a good old game of the Sims?
Skate and Skate 3
SSX 3
Star Wars KOTOR and KOTOR 2 - my favourite games in the world, such a good storyline and gameplay and just all around perfect. I don't have enough words to describe my love for this series, let's just say I've beat both multiple times, surprisingly never as a dark character, that's next!
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
The Walking Dead
UFC
007 Legends

Xbox One

I just bought the Xbox One not long ago, we bought this to play (NHL 15) and the Xbox came with 2 Assassins Creed games which I love and Dance Central for our Kinect, I'm also a big sucker for dance games, not to mention they're a great workout if you're lazy and don't want to think of it as exercise. I don't know how I feel about the Xbox One, not a fan so far but I haven't quite figured out how to use it.

There you have it, a little look into my world and a hobby I don't talk about much.

imPRESS Manicure - Disney Villains

image
Hello loves, I recently qualified for my first ever Influenster VoxBox. Influenster is a site where people can review products and the more products and social media presence they have the higher their score on the site is, the higher the score the better your chances are of scoring a voxbox which are sometimes specific brand based or variations of brands and items which are sent free for review compensation. I qualified for the Broadway Nails - imPRESS manicure voxbox. I’ve only been on Influenster for three months and already have qualified for my first voxbox, not bad hey? I received two imPRESS manicure sets. One is a pink, black and silver pattern, very pretty and the other a Disney Villain themed pack. I LOVE anything Disney so I tore into that pack right away. The color is a silver purple. In the picture above it reflects as more silver but in natural daylight it looks much more purple, gorgeous either way. The imPRESS sets are press on manicures. When you open the pack there are different sizes packed into a plastic nail polish bottle. Open the polish, the nails have a tape on the back that you pull off and then you press the nail onto your nail, start by pressing up the middle and then the sides of the nail. I love how easy this is to apply although within a day or so a few nails did fall off which was disappointing but they are not actually glued on so the staying power can not be expected to last as long as a real manicure. I love the concept of these and the price I just really wish they lasted longer. These retail for $10.99 in Wal-Mart so quite inexpensive. I would repurchase these again, they’re quick and easy and look fantastic.
