Fragrance Collection

Good morning loves!

Here's a little look into my bathroom cupboard, the fragrance edition.

Victoria's Secret Lovespell is by far my favorite body spray. You can see I prefer sprays over perfume, just kidding. Perfume is expensive and there are a million other things I'd rather buy for the same amount of money.
Avon Raspberry Body Spray, I don't know why I'm even keeping this around it smells like medicine.
Insignia, received as a gift way back when.
Bath & Body Works Coconut spray. I love anything coconut.
Bath & Body Works Warm Vanilla Sugar perfume and body spray. Surprisingly I find the body spray to smell better?
Bath & Body Works, Japanese Cherry Blossom. One of my favorite scents from them.
Bath & Body Works, Twilight Woods spray. Another great scent. I might have a slight Bath & Body Works addiction.
Another I think Victoria's Secret perfume, or maybe LaSenza. Super light and fresh scent.
An Elizabeth Arden perfume that my mom gave me.
Lancomes Miracle and a sample of another Lancome perfume.
Kat Von D's Saint and Sinner samples. I love both of these and I received them from Influenster.

A small collection to some but definitely more than enough for me.

What's your favorite scent?

Scrub of Happiness

Hello loves!
Boy, is it a dreary winter day outside right now. As we all know winter is the season for dry skin even for those who may not have dry skin throughout the rest of the year.

I'm a big believer in exfoliation, at least once a week for the face and a couple times a week for the body. I won't lie I usually stick to Lush for most of my luxury bath products but I was in Bath & Body Works and they had new products which of course immediately caught my eye.

They had a whole new line up of aromatherapy products. I'm skeptical when it comes to aromatherapy. I don't truly believe a scent alone can uplift your mood. Regardless, I picked up the "Happiness" Smoothing Body Scrub featuring notes of bergamot & mandarin. Bergamot is supposed to create a sense of well being where as mandarin supposedly helps boost your mood. While I didn't notice a mood change while using it, it's a great exfoliating scrub.

I wish I had a body brush to use with it but I just rub it all over my body in circular motions with my hand making sure every inch of my skin is exfoliated to get rid of any pesky dry flakes I may have. After I'm covered toes to shoulders, I rinse it off with hot water. It leaves your skin feeling silky smooth and smelling strongly of oranges. I don't mind the scent but for those sensitive to smells maybe steer clear as it is strongly scented as are most of Bath & Body Works products.

What do you use to exfoliate?

COCONUT - Star of the show

Hey everyone, who else has mad love for coconut?

Coconut as a scent is one of my absolute favourite things in the world. I will buy anything and everything that is scented like coconut. Actually speaking of coconut things, they have coconut M&M's! Yeah, that's real! By the way I have had them before and they are delicious!

The candle, I used for photo purposes but boy does it fill my home with coconut goodness all night long.
Bath & Body Works a very popular store much like The Body Shop they tend always have a two for one or three for two type deal.
I have yet to find a scent that I disliked and I could spend hours in that store just sniffing products. I bought the Coconut Body mist which I've almost used up and I own quite the collection so for this to be just about empty is a big deal. I love it! Of course it's a spray so it doesn't last as long as a perfume but it's great to throw in the handbag while you're on the run to freshen up!

If you know of any other delicious coconut scents please tell me as I will never get over coconut

Favorite Scents ~ Japanese Cherry Blossom

Hey guys!

I wanted to start sharing some of my favorite scents {Japanese Cherry Blossom} I am not a huge fan of perfumes per say but I do love a good body spray {and the occasional perfume}

The notes {from the Bath & Body works website}
  • Top Notes: Asian Pear, Fuji Apple, Ume Plum
  • Mid Notes: Japanese Cherry Blossom, Butterfly Lily, Kyoto Rose, Mimosa Petals
  • Dry Notes: Vanilla Rice, Imperial Amber, Silk Musk, Cinnamon Incense, Himalayan Cedarwood, Creamy Sandalwood
  •
The notes I have made bold are the ones that really stand out to me when using this. This retails for $14 CAD at Bath & Body works and if you're like me and have a dozen other fragrances in your repertoire this will last you through the ages!
Of course it is a floral and quite sweet smelling scent which I know a lot of people dislike but because it's just a body spray it dies down a lot quicker so the scent isn't overpowering which I like, yes you do have to re spritz every now and then but not a big deal as if you wanted something that lasted you most likely would have vied for the eau de toilette.
Your favorite scent?

=)

E m p t i e s

Hey everyone! I've got some empties to share with you tonight, I am not one for having many empty products at the end of the month but I did have a few so I thought why not share? Well that is if you guys are interested in seeing what I use....haha.

I'll start with the one that's not in the photo which is Inecto coconut face wipes. They were just a cheap drugstore product I posted a review not too long ago on them. I LOVE wipes mostly because I'm far too lazy to have a face regimen.

On deck next is Maybelline Master precise felt tip liner, this stuff makes the most inept person be able to do the most glamorous winged eye.

Bath & Body Works Warm Vanilla Sugar body lotion, I have quite the B&B obsession right now actually just bought the most wonderful smelling candle there the other day. It's called Apple Flower, seriously go smell it.

Tresemme hair spray and Nivea's Happy Time body wash. I don't have much to say about the hairspray I posted a review last month. The body wash, I will not lie to you guys I mostly bought this because of the name BUT not only that it smells like oranges and makes your whole bathroom a scent sauna its fabulous really and cheap, so killed two birds with one stone there.

As you see I do not really go through a lot of products but just wanted to show you the ones I have used all up recently.

What have you guys used up lately, let me know in a comment!

Review: Twilight Woods Lotion - Bath & Body Works

Hello everyone! I lost my SD card for my camera, days before I’m to leave for Florida, lucky me! So the photo is not mine unfortunately, I’m about halfway through my bottle!
image
First off the design of the bottle, nothing special just a plastic bottle as most lotions are packaged in although the Bath & Body works labels are very girly and cute.
The claim to this lotion on the website is “America’s #1 Body Lotion just got better! With 2 x the moisture and 3 x the Shea, our enhanced lotion contains more of what skin loves, leaving it feeling incredibly soft, smooth and nourished. Fortified with nutrient-rich ingredients like protective Vitamin E and fast absorbing Jojoba Oil, our ultra-nourishing formula delivers 16 hours of continuous moisture.”
I agree it keeps skin smooth, but 16 hours of continuous moisture? No, I don’t think so. Stretching the truth Bath & Body Works a bit, don’t you think? I have ultimately dry skin and this helps but I apply every second day after showering so it has no more staying power then other lotions I’ve tried.
Last thing to mention is the scent, by far one of the most famous and original scents B&BW has to offer. It’s in my top five along with Warm Sugar Vanilla, Japanese Cherry Blossom, Vanilla Bean Latte and Winter Candy Apple (both from the winter line). I find it’s a very musky scent and not overpoweringly sweet like some of the other scents. I wear this year round but I do consider it more of a fall//winter scent.
If you’re looking for a new lotion, check it out. I recommend buying it when B&BW has many of their buy 2 or 3 get 2 or 3 products free sales ;)

Winter and Dry Skin

Hello everyone! My skin is dry naturally and gets about a thousand times more dry during the winter season. I've never for the life of me been able to find any body cream, lotion butter or any moisturizing product to keep the dryness at bay. It's horrible and really unpleasant for me. Recently I hit up Bath and Body Works and picked up two of their holiday creams. The Winter Candy Apple and Vanilla Bean. I'll be honest I mostly bought these for the smells, they smell LOVELY. Do any of you have dry skin and find it difficult to find products to quench your skins thirst?
