Review: Twilight Woods Lotion - Bath & Body Works

Hello everyone! I lost my SD card for my camera, days before I’m to leave for Florida, lucky me! So the photo is not mine unfortunately, I’m about halfway through my bottle!

First off the design of the bottle, nothing special just a plastic bottle as most lotions are packaged in although the Bath & Body works labels are very girly and cute.
The claim to this lotion on the website is “America’s #1 Body Lotion just got better! With 2 x the moisture and 3 x the Shea, our enhanced lotion contains more of what skin loves, leaving it feeling incredibly soft, smooth and nourished. Fortified with nutrient-rich ingredients like protective Vitamin E and fast absorbing Jojoba Oil, our ultra-nourishing formula delivers 16 hours of continuous moisture.”
I agree it keeps skin smooth, but 16 hours of continuous moisture? No, I don’t think so. Stretching the truth Bath & Body Works a bit, don’t you think? I have ultimately dry skin and this helps but I apply every second day after showering so it has no more staying power then other lotions I’ve tried.
Last thing to mention is the scent, by far one of the most famous and original scents B&BW has to offer. It’s in my top five along with Warm Sugar Vanilla, Japanese Cherry Blossom, Vanilla Bean Latte and Winter Candy Apple (both from the winter line). I find it’s a very musky scent and not overpoweringly sweet like some of the other scents. I wear this year round but I do consider it more of a fall//winter scent.
If you’re looking for a new lotion, check it out. I recommend buying it when B&BW has many of their buy 2 or 3 get 2 or 3 products free sales ;)

Bri LOVES Topshop Lipsticks

Hello, sorry it’s been a few days! I’ve been loving Topshop lately and their lipsticks are fantastic. Let’s start with the packaging, cutest packaging I’ve yet to see on a lipstick although being a whitish tube it tends to get pretty gross looking after being tossed into my makeup bag but that’s just me not caring if I preserve the nice tube. I sadly do only have this one Topshop lipstick right now in the color “beehive” I adore this color its a really not overly bright but still not a nude pink, the lasting power is nothing amazing but for $14 CAD which is $5 cheaper than MAC I’m not complaining. This doesn’t cling to the dry patches on your lips which is always nice and glides on smoothly. If you’ve yet to try out the Topshop lipsticks take a look, they have a really nice range of colors.

A not so glamorous review -- Nizoral Shampoo

image
Hey guys it’s been a bit but I’m back with another review. I have an extremely dry scalp and I have tried tons of products with no avail. Nizoral is an anti fungal shampoo used for dandruff. It claims to “kill the fungus that  can cause dandruff” Its not a pretty looking bottle but it’s not exactly supposed to be so no complaints. I’ve been using this for about a week and I haven’t seen a DRASTIC change but I have noticed my head is not so itchy all the time to the point of driving me insane although I still have some flakes. It’s been calming it down for sure, it does dry the hair out so I use it about twice a week as it’s not meant to be used as a daily shampoo. My scratching was so bad I was starting to acquire scabs, gross I know. For the amount of time I’ve been using this my head feels a lot better, I don’t have so many bad areas as before. The patches I do scratch no longer turn into scabs so I really like this shampoo. The one downside I do have is that this is $12.99 for the smaller bottle in Shopper’s Drug Mart but seeing as you don’t use it as a daily shampoo it’s worth the price. It’s not strongly scented which is great. If you have dry scalp problems, look into this product you’ll be glad you did.

What would you choose? (Would you rather tag)

Would You Rather Tag
1. Would you rather be able to apply eyeliner perfectly or be able to contour like Kim Kardashian?
Contour like Kim Kardashian, that woman’s face is a work of art.
2. Would you rather wear foundation which is two shades lighter or two shades darker?
Two shades darker, I’m already the lightest shade in every powder/foundation/concealer I’ve tried.
3. Would you rather wear no lipstick ever again or no eyeliner ever again?

I’d have to say no lipstick, as I could still wear lip gloss. I don’t go anywhere without my eyeliner.
4. Would you rather give up your foundation or your mascara?

Mascara as I am generally far too lazy to apply foundation on a daily basis.
5. Would you rather apply your makeup yourself with no mirror whilst on a bumpy car journey or ask a 5 year old child to do it?

Myself definitely.
6. Would you rather wear exactly the same makeup every single day for the rest of your life or drastically change your makeup every single day for the rest of your life (even if it doesn’t suit you!)?

Same makeup, I already do.
7. Would rather have dodgy brows or have patchy fake tan?

Dodgy brows, I don’t even like the looks of a well done fake tan.
8. Would you rather have perfectly white teeth or have your perfect hairstyle?
Perfect hairstyle which I can seem to NEVER achieve
9. Would you rather wear the same colour nail varnish for the rest of your life or be able to change the colours of your varnish whenever you like but it’s always a little bit smudged?

Variety, my polish usually ends up getting smudged within a day anyways!
10. Would you rather have lots of scented body and perfume products that smell amazing to you but to everyone else you smell like pine tree car air freshener or have products that smell average to you but smell incredible to those around you?

Amazing to everyone else!

I tag anyone who reads this to do this! Have fun C:
