Shoe Wishlist

Shoes on Shoes on Shoes

Hello loves!

I am not a huge shoe fanatic, why?
Mostly because I find shoes to expensive, even cheap ones.
I've bought $200 boots from a well known brand that have still fallen apart within a year and I've had a pair of $40 heels from H&M that lasted in good condition for four years.
Due to me rarely buying shoes the ones I currently have in my collection are close to the end of their lives. That led us to today's blog post, my shoe wishlist. A lot of these aren't necessarily in my price range but you can always find cheaper dupes else where.

Saint Laurent Babies 90 Ankle Boots - I've never owned a pair of patent leather boots but I've seen these every where and would love finally have a pair.

Vans Sneakers - Again, believe it or not I've never owned a white pair of sneakers. Mostly due to the fact that I never saw the purpose. I mean they're not going to stay pristine white for long. Despite that I've seen them styled in such cute ways I wouldn't mind owning a pair.

Hudson London Geneve Suede Ankle Boot - I love boots. They are my favorite form of foot wear and I don't think you can ever have enough of them. The cut out detailing on these make them more of a statement boot without being over the top.

Karl Lagerfield Paris Larose Suede Lace Up Flats - Love the lace up detailing on these. These would be perfect for the office as they are flats so they won't hurt your feet but are still cute with the lace ups.

Gianvito Rossi Suede Pumps - I don't own a nice pair of pumps that I could wear for a night out. These are simple, classic and elegant and because they're black they can be easily styled for a night on the town.

N 21 Nude Calf Leather Bow Pumps - I just think these are some of the most gorgeous shoes I've ever laid my eyes on and I love the pale pink coloring.

Madden Girl Direct Caged Sandals  - I don't own any shoes like this and I love how interesting they look. These will definitely spice up any outfit.

Jimmy Choo Vixen 130  - What woman doesn't wish to have a pair of Jimmy Choos?
I love how high the heel is {although I may not be able to walk in them} and the bow at the back is so cute!

What shoes are you lusting after?

NYX Wishlist

NYX

Hello everyone!

I wanted to share my NYX wishlist. Believe it or not I've yet to try one single NYX product,
Why?
Well, I live in a fairly small town where it's not easily accessible and I've been trying to limit the online shopping I do. I've heard such wonderful things about the brand from various bloggers/Youtubers and would love to get my hands on some of the products above to see if the brand truly lives up to it's hype.

Sweet Cheeks Blush Palette: Retailing at $27 CAD for eight blushes! That's a wicked deal. This was featured in many Youtubers favorites within the past couple of months which has me itching to pick it up. I love that the palette has a range from oranges to pinks, this would work year round and give you enough blush for years to come!

Highlight & Contour Pro Palette - I currently use the Kat Von D Shade & Light palette to contour and when I first wrote a review on it I did quite like using it but after more use my opinion has changed and for the price I truly think it could have been better. I've used other Kat Von D products and I feel like the Shade & Light wasn't up to par in terms of the quality I've come to expect from her brand. Again this retails for $27 CAD but for the amount of product it has, the price is fairly reasonable.

Dream Catcher Palette: Looking online, none of the dream catcher colours match this. So, I'm thinking maybe this one is no longer carried but I would still be open to grabbing one of the others as they all look beautiful! This retails for $18 CAD.

Liquid Suede Liquid Lipsticks - In the shades Stone Fox {a very unique color} & Cherry Skies {you all know I love my reds} $10 CAD, which for a liquid lipstick is quite cheap! It's not Colourpop cheap but it's cheap.

Ombre Blush - I've never seen an ombre blush and I'm quite curious as how it would look applied!
$13 CAD

Lip Lingerie: All of these are in the nude range and as much as I love my bold colors I definitely need to start expanding into the nudes as I work daily in an office so the shades I always want to wear aren't always necessarily appropriate. ($9 CAD)

Makeup Setting Spray in Dewy - Another product I've never tried. (supposedly I'm a beauty blogger)
I've never found a primer that is my holy grail so I wonder if maybe a setting spray would work better to lock in my makeup. I chose dewy as I have very dry skin so anything matte just looks horrendous on me. ($10 CAD)

There you have it, some of the products I'd like to try from NYX to give myself an introduction to the brand.

What do you think of NYX?

OOTD - Just Give Me A Reason

Hello again loves!

This morning, I stepped out to take some snaps of my outfit and even though it's still -10 degrees outside it felt like spring. Of course, I'm comparing this to the last two days where it was -37 so it's not spring yet but it sure has warmed up a lot. I can't wait until the sun pokes out once again!

Fun fact: My tights never dried fully last night, so I was quite chilled to the bone while taking these.

I know my last OOTD featured this exact skirt but I've been loving it! It's a fun and easy print to pair and is perfect for the office.

Details;
Sweater: H&M
Shirt: Aritzia (could not find on website)
Skirt and Triangle Necklace: Thrifted
Boots: Forever 21
Slinky Neckalce; H&M

I hope you guys like it.

What's your favorite print to work with?

Shoe Dazzle - DIY

Hello everyone!
I'm going to share a fun D.I.Y. I found while perusing Pinterest the other day.

Who doesn't love glitter?
My last DIY post was ages ago and also included...GLITTER!

What you will need:
  1. Mod Podge (I made my own) - How To
  2.  Heels (I used an old pair that I don't wear too much anymore, as I didn't want to chance wrecking a new pair)
  3. Glitter
  4. Paint Brush
  5. Newspaper (any paper will work, just makes it easier to clean up)

{The beginning}

Mix some Mod Podge with the loose glitter in a small jar of sorts using a paint brush.

Lightly paint on a layer of the mixture on to the soles of the shoes using the same paintbrush you used to mix it with.

Then using a dry paint brush pat an even layer on using ONLY the loose glitter. I just sprinkled some on the soles and lightly patted it in creating a nice even layer.
Let them dry, then apply the final layer of Mod Podge.

There you have it!
A old pair of shoes, spiced up with some glittery soles.

This was an extremely easy DIY and jazzed up an otherwise normal pair of shoes.

What do you guys think, have you tried a DIY like this?
