*Garnier Color Shield

Hey everyone!

I want to talk about a product that I actually received in an Influenster box box a few months ago and that is the Garnier color shield shine spray which can also be used as a heat protectant spray which is what I use it for and will be reviewing it as.

I was always a Tresemme heat protectant user but this stuff is just about as good and it's in the same price range!

It is meant for colored hair which at the time I had dyed my hair just for review purposes, haha. It really helps with dry ends you can use it on your hair whether it's dry or wet, I prefer to use it on dry hair before using any heating tools, it protects the hair and it keeps it from getting dry and damaged and it keeps the hair shiny and non frizzy. I find I do have to use quite a bit to cover even the ends of my hair however but such a great spray regardless and it helps de tangle the hair and let me tell you how knotty fine hair can get just on its own it's ridiculous so it's a big help!

E.L.F. - Neutral Eyes

Hello!

I wanted to share with all of you a bargain palette from E.L.F., this is their neutral eye palette I believe I paid $12 CAD at Winners for it and there are 36 shadows, bargain? Yeah, I'd say so.

As most people know E.L.F.s products are hit and miss they are a cheap online brand however you can find a few of their products in Target, Winners and dollar stores. I have only run into about 2 or 3 products that really let me down from E.L.F. and for the money you pay you can't expect everything to be top of the line.

Below are swatches of all the shadows and I did them by the groupings in the palette. These were all swatches using Coastal Scents eye primer.

As you can see there were two groups that had hardly any pigmentation but the rest of the shadows were great, the only major problem with these shadows is the fallout they get absolutely everywhere but for twelve dollars what do you expect? I've only ever used a brush to apply them so the fallout may be less when using the fingers. I absolutely adore the purple group of shades, so pretty great for fall! Aside from other more expensive palettes this one does have a mirror personally a palette not having a mirror is not a big negative for me as I tend to use my vanity mirror to apply all my makeup.

I really do like this palette and I get a lot of use out of it so if you're looking for a cheap natural palette give this a go if you can find it it was worth every penny!

*supersize and INTENSIFY

Hello again everyone! I'm here to talk about Covergirls new products the Supersizer mascara from the Lashblast line and the new intensify me liquid liner.

THE SUPERSIZER

The brush is unique I haven't seen bristles like this on any other mascara and I'm quite the mascara junkie. The way it's supposed to be applied is to
Twirl it while you apply it I tried and this and poked myself in the eye more than once in my attempts so after multiple eye stabbings needless to say I applied it as I normally would and THE VOLUME outcome is a m a z i n g the packaging actually said you'd get 400% more volume this time the claim is real! I don't recommend applying while twirling but if you are a danger seeker go ahead. Not only did this create volume but it added so much length truly an amazing mascara. The formula however is wet and does take a bit to dry so it can get clumpy if you're not careful. I love this though, so great! I used to use Lashblast as my regular mascara but switched to Maybellines colossal  but this may make me a Covergirl user yet again.

The IntensifyMe eyeliner I didn't like at all unfortunately as you can see if you hold it the one way you could apply a thick line hold it the other way and you can create a fine line. The applicator is hard and it pulls on the lash line, not a pleasant experience. The formula is very runny even after it dries one touch and it will smudge everywhere...I had no luck with this at all I couldn't get it to stay on it faded it smudged and it hurt to apply. I don't know if maybe I'm applying it wrong but it really didn't work for me. The one plus I have to mention is the black is BLACK, so ladies if you can find a way to make it work for you please let me know!

Disclaimer: COVERGIRL did send me these products however all opinions are my own.

*Skinny Teatox -- 14 Day Detox

Hey! I was sent a 14 day "Skinny Teatox" to try courtesy of Brandbacker and Skinny Teatox
It included a 14 day morning tea which is that silver empty bag above, a seven night detox tea which came in tea bags and was to be drunk every other night during the 14 day teatox and an adorable strawberry tea infuser!

The benefits of this teatox include;
help with weight loss, burning calories, boosting the metabolism, cleansing and detoxifying the bod, suppressing appetite and increasing energy.
It's also 100% natural, gluten and nut free!

The daytime tea is meant to fill you with energy, suppress your appetite so your not eating as much and boost your metabolism so you burn more calories throughout the day. I felt a lot less bloated after eating while doing my teatox although I didn't notice significant weight loss. The energy boost for me was the HIGHLIGHT of this tea, I sleep A LOT and ever since I was a child I've always been extremely tired all the time I have never known why and it's continued in my adult life and it's not grew because I spend so much time sleeping, I am not a lazy person I work out every day for at least 30 minutes and I take a 20 minute walk to work but this tea was incredible for my energy.

The pamphlet that came with the tea explains the benefits explains and that while on the teatox you should be eating healthier foods and overall they are promoting a healthier lifestyle for people which in these days is great! and you shouldn't stop being healthy once you're done try to keep those same habits when you're finished! =)

The nigh time tea which I mentioned was supposed to be drunk every other night is for cleaning and detoxifying your body. The ingredient that makes this happen (gives you a laxative effect) is the Sienna Leaf. Honestly I didn't get an extreme effect from this it was very mild and I drank my tea before bed so it would tend to happen when I woke up which was grew because it actually made me feel a lot better in the mornings than normal.

My only gripe was the tea infuser yes it was cute and maybe with a loose leaf tea with bigger leafs and particles it would work better but I found every time I used it a little of the tea seeped right out of those holes and I just don't appreciate drinking the straight ingredients. Luckily I do have a steeper ball from another store so I used that after the first couple of times.

The taste of both teas you can tell that the ingredients are 100% natural they're not the best taste but there is clearly no sweeteners or sugars used in these teas which is good for what they are trying to promote.

I have looked at the other products and am thinking maybe next I will try the 28 day skinny mint teatox!

SEPHORA Travel Brush Set {Travel Essentials}

Hey guys it's been awhile, I know... I'm sorry. Today I want to talk about and review a travel essential!

If you're a beauty junkie I guarantee you all have a ton of beauty brushes. Don't lie we see the different sets from different brands! I myself hate carrying around a suitcase full of beauty items as I pack enough clothes and shoes as it is haha.
Well no fear because mini brush sets are the perfect thing for travel, mine is from Sephora and comes in a purple brush wrap, yes I know they are not the cleanest at the moment but don't worry I do clean my brushes!

This brush wrap I believe I paid around $25 CAD for it at Sephora which is cheap considering. It comes a blush brush, foundation brush and three eye brushes, pretty much everything you need for a whole face.

The brushes are not the greatest quality but  the SEPHORA line of products is very hit and miss I find. The blush brush lost its shape after only a few washes but it's never shed actually none of them have since I've bought them which was within the past year. I hate foundation brushes I will be honest I like to use bigger brushes I usually use a kabuki or a stipple brush to apply my foundation so I don't have much to say about the foundation brush in this set.

I actually use the three eye brushes almost every time I do my eyes mostly because for now I don't have many eyebrushes  but the liner brush I LOVE. I love it because it's small and it's not too soft or too hard really easy to use great with cream eyeliners! It has to be my favourite brush from the set.

If you need a cheap decent set of brushes for travel try the Sephora Brush wraps they come in a variety of colours all really cute!

What are your favourite or most used makeup brushes?

Sally Hansen - Black Out {hard as xtreme wear}

The other day I began to do my nails and then realized there was not enough in the bottle for both hands! So off I went to the drugstore and in small town Alberta it seems black is a hard to find color, haha.

The only non sparkly black I could find was Sally Hansens hard as xtreme nail wear in "black out."

First thing I love about it it's only $3.49 CAD and it's decent quality, I've bought more expensive polishes that have chipped immediately after applying.

It's been three days and there is only minimal chipping at the tips. I did have to use two coats though which is a little frustrating when I buy black polish of like the pigmentation to be much better. The formula is nice, smooth and easy to use.

A great cheap polish for people on a budget.

Have you tried any of the Sally Hansen {hard as xtreme} nail polishes?
