KVD Everlasting Liquid Lip Collection

  {left to right: Lolita II, Mother & Outlaw}

Hello loves!
Has anyone lost one of their favorite lipsticks? Well, this recently happened to me with Lolita. I used to own the original and of course I went out one night and it was never to be seen again.

Although I don't have a large KVD lip collection her formula and colors are some of my favorites. You can bet that this obsession will continue to build.

I only own three currently. I guess four if you count the Lolita I lost. Such a shame.

Lolita II - Though not as lovely as the original Lolita it's still a lovely color that wears well with multiple looks.

Mother - A gorgeous pink. This one happens to my least favorite of the three. Nothing against the formula though. I just tend to either gravitate more towards nudes or reds.

Outlaw - My absolute favorite. If you know me you know red is my signature color. This is the perfect cool toned red that looks great with my pale, ghastly skin!

Albeit, the KVD formula being quite drying her color range is impressive and anyone should be able to find a color that suits their needs. I can't wait to add more of these to my collection. I believe there were even new shades added to the range this year.

Who makes your favorite liquid lip?

#instaflawless

Good afternoon loves.
I hope you're all having a lovely weekend.
Rimmel released their Insta collection a while back but I never bothered picking anything up. I've been wanting to try a cream contour for a while now but didn't want to go buying an expensive palette until I tried it out.
While browsing needlessly in Shopper's I spotted this little compact on sale. I'd read previous reviews on it and they weren't great but it was only eight dollars so I figured there was no harm in trying.
I got mine in 010 - Light.

Sleek and compact the packaging includes a photo on the back showing where to use the products which is handy for beginners in makeup or cream contouring like me.

 {left to right - Highlight, Concealer & Contour}

Easy to use, the products are extremely creamy and blend out easily on top of foundation. I'm not a fan of the highlight shade as it's matte and I love a blinding highlight. The highlight almost acts as more of an illuminating concealer. The concealer was creamy and easy to build up. I use it on my under eyes and have had minimal issues with it creasing. I saw another reviewer saying it clung to dry patches but I haven't noticed it on my skin and as my readers know I have extremely dry skin.
The contour shade is a tad too orange but it does blend out nicely. Bbeing fair skinned if a shade is too orange it  tends to make the face look muddy. Due to that I do have to be careful when applying.

It's a handy, compact palette that is great for on the run or traveling. Having tried this I am hoping to try out some other cream contour products to see how I get along with them.

What's your favorite way to contour?

NOTD - Sephora {Spread The Word}

I swear, I'll never get the hang of painting my nails.
But, I can't be bothered with fakes although they look stunning and I'd love to try out a marble set. Maybe during summer, we'll see.

Sephora's Spread the Word is a bright fuchsia, more of a summer color but it's okay to break the rules sometimes right?
This polish has a wide brush making it easy to coat the nail in one swipe. Opaque this color only needs one coat in all honesty but I always apply two no matter what I'm wearing. We're on the third day with only minimal chipping around the nail bed, not bad! Comparing to Essie which usually ends up chipping before the end of the first day. Not to mention, I didn't use a base or top coat with this.
I think the Sephora brand has a lot of gems. Their nail polish has a great formula, opaque color and smooth application for a decent price.

What's your favorite polish brand?

PORES BE PURE

 Happy hump day everyone!
The middle of the week, only a few more days and we're home free for the weekend.
Lately, I've been feeling like I needed something extra in my skin care routine.
Introducing the Formula 10.0.6 Pores Be Pure face mask.

I have a love/hate relationship with masks. If I find one I like I'll use it consistently until the products gone and then it'll be another three to four months before I pick up a new one. I haven't found yet that really wows me but the hunt continues.

I'll start with this, if you are sensitive to scents you will hate it. It's strongly scented. Being infused with strawberry extract it smells like, you guessed it berries! I love the scent and how it lingers as the mask drys.
To use, you apply a thin layer on the face & neck and leave it for about 10-15 minutes. I leave it for 15 minutes, then rinse it off with warm water.
Being a clay mask it will dry out your skin. That's easily solved with a moisturizer. For a clay mask I expected it to dry my skin out more harshly than it did. Compared to other clay masks I've used in the past this was minimally drying. It left my face feeling incredibly smooth and has in the most subtle way minimized some of the texture on my skin. Other than that I haven't seen outstanding results but for the price it's great to pick up if you need a pamper night.

What's your favorite mask?

*Biolage - Live Raw

Good morning loves.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Monday. I had to drag myself out of bed this morning after about three of my alarms went off.

A while back Biolage and Peersway sent me two products from their new "Live Raw" range.
I was not required to write a blog post but decided to anyways.

I received their Texturizing Styling Spray & the Smoothing Styling Milk.
The Live Raw products are created with 98% -99% natural origins and don't contain parabens, silicones, artifical colors or fragrances. Organic ingredients for happy, healthy hair.

Texturizing Spray -  Infused with Matcha green tea this is supposed to give hair 24 hour volume with a soft touchable texture. I have flat, fine and overall lifeless hair to be honest so texturizing sprays never do anything for me. I wish I could say I had a great experience with this but unfortunately products like this do nothing for me. It's far better suited with people who have naturally thick and wavy hair.

Styling Milk - The styling milk is infused with oat and honey. I had far more success with this then the aforementioned product. You rub it in your damp hair after showering but before blow drying. I don't usually blow dry my hair as I like to use as little heat as possible on my hair. For the sake of the blog though I gave it a shot. I used more on my ends than near my scalp and after drying my hair was silky soft and a lot more manageable! My fine hair takes all of a second to tangle itself in to multiple knots so this helped keep it at bay.

What do you use to make your hair more manageable?

Aritzia Wishlist #1

Aritzia

Oh hello loves.

With Christmas lingering just around the corner I'm on a bit of a spending ban. I don't know why but I love to torture myself. When I put myself on a spending ban I proceed to peruse my favorite websites/clothing retailers to see what I would like to purchase in the future.

Aritzia is a Canadian born brand that was founded in Vancouver, British Columbia.
I adore Aritzia but their price tags are not always budget friendly. My family gifts me an Aritzia gift card every Christmas so why not start the wish list early?

Talula Cardigan - I bought one extremely similar to this last year in white and it's honestly one of the warmest sweaters I've ever owned albeit being a tad itchy from the wool.

Wilfred Sweater -  The scallop hem on this is what caught my eye. It makes it stand out among a sea of regular sweaters. I like that it's cropped as it would pair great with some high waisted pants.

TNA Shirt - This is more of a I just need some warmer winter wear.

Wilfred Sweater - They have this in a gorgeous baby blue color which I love. Again, I really am lacking in the winter sweater department.

Bodysuit - I know, body suits are inconvenient for a lot of things but they really can add some extra dimension to an outfit and are great for layering.

Plaid Shirt - Plaid, the classic staple that everyone needs at least one of, or ten.

Pom Pom Hat - Beanies are perfect for winter or if you're having a bad hair day.

There you have it the items I'm currently lusting after. I seriously need to begin building a better winter wardrobe.

TOPSHOP Wishlist #2

TOPSHOP

Topshop, I'm so happy you finally have a stand alone store in Alberta. Oh, how long I've waited.

I think European stores have such gorgeous and different pieces from what's on the market in most of the Canadian/American stores. Zara & Topshop being two of those. Topshop recently (three years ago) opened a stand alone store in Chinook Centre and I coudln't have been more excited. Albeit being in there numerous times I've yet to purchase much. Hence my second Topshop wish list!

Suede Boots  - These boots while simple still have the ability to make an outfit. I honestly don't know if there's such a thing as too many pairs of boots.\

Plaid Peplum - Okay, so I adore the look of peplum tops yet....I own none? Maybe it's time I tried out a new style on myself.

Sequin Bodycon - The instance I saw this my mind jumped to New Years Eve! Glitter is always appropriate on that night.

Cross Body Bag - I'm more of  carry my life in my bag kind of girl but sometimes having a smaller option around is handy.

Cropped Knit - I want to step out of my comfort zone and try wearing more daring items. I am quite body self conscious but I do think a cropped knit like this would look cute paired with my high waisted disco pants or anything high waisted really.

Embroidered Skirt - Embroidery is the trend I've yet to try and while I'd love to get my hands on some embroidered boots this skirt is calling my name.

Vichy Quencing Mineral Mask

Hello loves.

Winter, the season of dry & dehydrated skin. For me winter only exacerbates my already problematic dry skin. I'm always looking for something to soothe the thirst my skin requires and it's a daunting task.

I actually spotted this mini mask from Vichy on my mom's vanity and noticed she hadn't been using it so naturally I asked her if I could have it.
It's the Quenching Mineral Mask from Vichy which is formulated for dry skin types.

It's unlike any mask I've used before, you pat it into your skin and let it sit for five minutes then you're to massage the excess in. I love the feel of this mask! As you apply it, it soothes & leaves a cooling effect on your skin which lasts as it soaks in. For me, even before the five minutes was up my skin had sucked in all the possible moisture it could obtain. It left me with little to no excess to rub in so I don't think it's quite heavy enough for me during these cold, dreary winter months. When summer comes you can bet I'll be purchasing a full size of this! The gel texture and cooling effect of this mask captured my attention, I definitely want to see what other skincare products Vichy has to offer.

What do you recommend from Vichy?

Lancome Creme Radiance Cleanser

Hello loves, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

I wish I could say I'm one of those girls who lays about on the weekend in her sweats and a makeup free face but that's not the case. I love doing my makeup on the weekend as I work full time in an office. When the weekend rolls along I love to experiment with colors and different ways of doing my eye shadow to really get my creative juices flowing. It's the perfect time to sit down and take my time. If like me you constantly love looking done up you have to make sure you're taking care of your skin which is where the Lancome Creme Radiance cleanser comes into play.

My skin care routine could be better and I'm fully aware of that but for now here's what I do;
First, I use a makeup wipe to remove the majority of my face makeup. After that I go in with cleanser and a separate eye makeup remover (I wear heavy eye makeup on the daily). After all the makeup's been removed I go in with an eye cream (also Lancome) and a moisturizer to keep my skin hydrated.

The Creme Radiance is a cream to foam cleanser. As you rub it in it begins to foam up on the skin. It lathers well and removes makeup easily although I don't think it works well enough as a sole cleanser. It does not remove mascara well at all and stings the eye area which is why I've taken to using a separate method for my eyes. I've found most cream cleansers really dry my skin out but haven't had any issues with this, just be sure to follow up with some moisturizer!

I don't know if I want to continue using this. I'm going to keep my eyes open for cleansers that are created for helping dry skin as that's what I suffer with most.

What's your favorite cleanser?

H&M Wishlist

H&M

Hello everyone!

It's been a while since my last wish list post and Christmas is approaching quickly so what better time than now to create one?
*hint, hint family*

If you don't know already H&M is one of my favorite stores. Their clothes are affordable and great quality. I know a lot of people who think cheap means poorly made but I don't find that to be the case with H&M. So I created a mini wish list of some products I'm currently coveting.

H&M Beauty - I've seen countless posts about their latest addition, a beauty range. From what I've read the products sound excellent and for the price I'm definitely eyeing some things up for the next time I'm in store.

Satin Bomber -  To be honest, I've never owned a bomber jacket as I don't think I could pull it off. Still would like to see if I can style it for me in some way to make it work. The floral print on this would be perfect for the upcoming spring.

Biker Leggings -  Honestly you guys I live in leggings and I don't own a pair like these. How cute would these be paired with a cropped leather jacket and some ankle boots?

Skinny Jeans - Jeans are a staple even though personally I wear them rarely these days.

Turtleneck Sweater - Alberta's winters are some of the coldest, one day last year it was - 66 degrees Celsius. That's outrageous. For being a born and raised Albertan I'm not equipped well in the clothing department for winter and turtlenecks are great for keeping warm.

What are you guys coveting?

Drugstore Diamonds - Loreal Infalliable Shadows

{left to right: Endless Choclat, Magnetic Coral, Purple Obsession & Pepsy Coral}

Hello loves!

I know we all love our high end & luxury brands but the drug stores really do hold some hidden gems. My newest and most recent discovery being the Loreal Infalliable 24 hr shadows. I know these have been around for a while but Loreal as a brand was never on my radar as I never really saw anything I was interested in. These were on clearance and I was looking for some new things to try so I picked up four of them!

Endless Chocolat - A gorgeous chocolate brown with gold glitter reflect. You can't see the glitter in the swatch but when applied on the eyes it' stunning. I love this color albeit being a tad bit hard to blend out.

Magnetic Coral - A beautiful light coral shade that is gorgeous all over the lid.

Purple Obsession - This isn't a shade of purple I would normally go for but as an impulsive buyer of course I had to get it. Extremely pigmented and blends easily. I love doing a purple eye with this smoked out in the outer corner.

Pepsy Coral - When looking at Pepsy Coral and Magnetic Coral in the containers they look almost identical in color but as you can see in the swatches Pepsy Coral is much darker.

Loreal's Infalliable shadows are incredibly pigmented and three out of the four that I own blended well. Endless Chocolat took a bit of extra effort but it's a darker shade as well so build it slowly.
I'm definitely interested in picking up more of these as I was pleasantly surprised because most of the Loreal products I've tried thus far haven't impressed me.

What Infalliable shade is your favorite?
