Live Clean - Exotic Nectar Argan Oil Leave In Spray

As a woman I'm always on the hunt for new hair products to create the beautiful mane we all desire.
The Live Clean Argan Oil Leave In Spray is a leave in conditioning treatment that is supposed to lock in moisture and provide long term conditioning, shine and UV protection.
I picked this up for $5.99 CAD at my local Shopper's Drug Mart. I, like all others heard the amazing benefits of Argan Oil. Seeing how cheap this was I figured it couldn't hurt to give it a try.
Grape seed & olive oil are listed in the ingredients as well so I had high hopes for this. Let me start off by saying if you are sensitive to smells, this might not be your cup of tea. It's reminiscent of rotting fish, quite honestly it makes me cringe every time I use it.
I've almost used this up in a couple of months and have noticed minimal difference in my hair. The change in softness is a result of the Coconut oil I've started using as a deep conditioning treatment and my hair does not look any more shiny after using the Live Clean spray. If this is used on dry hair it doesn't comb out thoroughly leaving a weird film on the hair that makes your hair look greasy.
I do however like to use this as a detangler, for that purpose it works wonderfully!
I have very fine hair so when I get out of the shower its like tangle town and creates quite a chore when it comes to try and brush them out.
After I shower I spray this all over my hair and then comb it out while it's damp, the comb glides effortlessly through the hair making detangling a dream come true.
I wouldn't buy it again as a leave in conditioner spray but I would buy it as a detangler as it's nice and affordable.
Maybe Live Clean should re brand this as a detangler spray?

What are your favorite Live Clean products?

H&M - Online now in Canada!

H&M

I have exciting news everyone!
You can now shop online through H&M's Canadian website
I've honestly been waiting for this moment for years now. Canada seems to always get shafted in the online world, either websites don't ship to us (Ulta, I'm looking at you) or shipping charges are out of this world (there are many guilty parties for this one.)
To celebrate this occasion I created my winter H&M wish list.
H&M is one of my favorite stores and as soon as I found out they now offer online shopping for Canada the first thing I did was hop on the website to have a little gander.

I linked the site & all items above if any other fellow Canadians would like to peruse it.

Long Cardigan - You can never go wrong with cardigans, especially over sized ones. I like the mossy/olive green colour of this, I think it will be perfect for fall or a warmer winter day. I have a very similar one also from H&M in Gray but it doesn't have pockets.

Ankle Boots - I'm the type of person who never really buys shoes, hence why they're on my list. Ankle boots are always on trend and look good with almost anything you pair them with.

Cable Knit Hat - We all need winter accessories and this was just too cute to not put on my wish list. I'm a total beanie fiend. I would much rather wear cute hats than headbands.

Poncho - I've never owned a poncho and I think this would be a fabulous staple piece for Fall & Winter that you could dress up or down and still look put together.

Satin Blouse - Satin is a beautiful looking fabric and this burgundy wine colour is perfect for the holidays season.

Turtleneck Jumper - I definitely don't own enough thick winter clothes. Living in Alberta where our winters are minus -40 degrees Celsius these are a must.

Polo Neck Jumper - I added this thinking it would be a good sweater but now looking at it closer this would be much more like a dress on me as I'm quite short. Either way it would be a good winter dress if layered over some tights with high boots.

Wool Coat -  A nice warm coat that will be keep me cozy in these harsh winters. I only have one other nice winter coat which is a pea coat but it's quite old so I think it's high time I purchased a new one.

Warm Lined Chelsea Boots -  I'm in desperate need of new boots seeing as my dog chewed holes in the ones I bought last year. *sigh* The life of a dog owner. These wouldn't be ideal for the heavy snowfall days but for days where there isn't heaps of snow on the ground they would be okay as they are lined on the inside.

The Lipstick Tag

1. How many lipsticks do you own?
I included all my lip products in this and I had 65....oops. I might have a light obsession.

2. What was the first lipstick you owned?
My first lipstick was either Enchantress by COVERGIRL which is a shimmery barbie pink, very bright or Hot Passion, also by COVERGIRL which is a bold blue toned red. I think I might have picked these up at the same time actually but I was in about grade eleven when I purchased these. I was a little late to the makeup party.

3. What is your favourite lipstick brand?
I love to try new lip products, be it a lipstick, liquid lipstick, lip balm, lip gloss so on and so forth. I don't have a favorite brand so I will give you the brands I have the most products from for both high end and low end. MAC lipsticks are a large portion of my collection, I wouldn't say MAC is super luxurious but they aren't exactly cheap either. The Kate Moss Lasting Finish lipsticks by Rimmel are my most purchased drugstore lipsticks and for good reason. These are $6.99 CAD and are amazing! If you've never had one I would highly suggest purchasing one.

4. What is your most worn lipstick?
This is going to sound so OCD, but because I own so many lipsticks I go through a rotation to try and get use out of all of them. It irks me when people have mountains of products and 90% of them sit there unused for years. What is the point of having so much if you can't even use it?

5. What is your favourite finish?
Matte, hands down. I'd say 95% of my lipsticks are matte or semi-matte.

6. What was the last lipstick you bought?
font-family: inherit;">The last lipstick I purchased was a Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in the shade Outlaw, a very bold red. If you hadn't noticed yet I really love reds. ♥

7. How many lip products do you currently have in your bag?
Just one... wait just one? You guys this is a miracle I never have only one product in my bag and believe it or not it's not a lipstick of any sorts it's my holy grail lip balm the Blistex Lip Medex.

8. What is your favourite red lip colour?
This is not an easy one for me to answer. I'd say my favorite red that I own is MAC's Russian Red. It's stunning, it reminds me of an old classic Hollywood lip. Absolutely love this. A red I'm coveting is Jeffree Stars Velour liquid lipstick in the shade "Red Rum" *heart eyes*

9. How do you store your lipsticks?
They are stored in a three drawer bin. They actually all fit in one drawer though.

10. Which lipsticks are you currently lusting after?
I'm lusting after various shades of the Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipsticks, I only own one but his colors and the formula are perfect. Even though I've heard so many mixed reviews I would like to try Candy K by Kylie Cosmetics.

Let me know if you do this tag and drop it down below because I'd love to read them!

Beauty Bay - Christmas List

Beauty Bay

Hello loves!
Beauty Bay has a great contest going on for affiliates at the moment!

To enter you had to either create a post about their "All Made Up Bags" which are curated collections by Beauty Bay. The other way to enter was to create your ultimate Christmas Wish List from the Christmas Shop.

I opted to create a wish list because you know Christmas is coming, this could come in handy when your family starts asking you what you want, I really enjoy doing posts like these as well as reading others. I'm a tad snoopy and like to see what other people are coveting, just me?

Here's what I'm hoping to receive under the tree this year;

Spectrum Glam Clam - You guys, look at how cute this is! I've never owned anything from Spectrum but that packaging is too cute to resist. I love the fun & bright colors! I've not heard much about the quality but at a pricey $92.40 CAD I would hope they are of a high standard.

Coloured Raine Matte Liquid Lip Paint : I've heard nothing but good things about the Coloured Raine liquid lipsticks. Being the lip product junkie that I am of course these would be on the list. I'd love to have one in the shade "Cherry Blossom" It's almost like a pink burgundy lip.

Viseart Palette : Another cheeky one as it's more on the pricey side. Everyone and their mother raves about the Viseart palettes. This one is the one I'd pick up if I were to splurge as I love my neutrals. I'm quite drawn to the third row of shades.

Jeffree Star Beauty Killer: I'm trying to win this on an Instagram giveaway right now, keep your fingers crossed for me =) I know I just said how I love my neutrals but we could all use a little color now and again. The pigmentation I've seen from this in tutorials & swatches is gorgeous which is only making me want it more.

Nugg Face Masks: I think these would make a great stocking stuffer! I've never tried the Nugg face masks but they've been hyped up from the posts I've read. At only $20 CAD for four they won't break the bank either.

Manny MUA Palette: I seem to have a theme in this wishlist with lip products and eye shadow palettes, oops. For nine shades this is very pricey for Canadians like me but my god the color scheme is to die for. That bottom cranberry shade is gorgeous! I've been using cranberry shades a lot in my crease lately.

Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick: Last but not least another Jeffree Star product, I do already own one of these in the shade "Blow Pony" but after seeing that "Androgyny" is in stock on Beauty Bay I might just end up purchasing it for myself. I can still treat myself at Christmas right? I'm a tad choked that these sell for $23.10 CAD on Beauty Bay as I ended up paying $40 after the exchange rate & shipping through Jeffree's website.

Go check out the Beauty Bay Christmas Shop for more products!
Let me know what you guys are lusting after this Christmas

Coconut Oil - Multi Purpose Beauty

Everybody by now knows the benefits to using Coconut Oil in beauty & skincare.
To be honest, I didn't purchase this until this year! I know, I know have I been living under a rock?

No, I just never fully understood the amazing things it could accomplish until my fiance's sister started using it in her hair and my god her hair has never looked better! Naturally after seeing the affects for myself I ran to my nearest grocery store to pick some up.

I haven't been using it long but I don't think I'll ever stop using it now. I wanted to tell you guys my favorite ways to use it and other ways that I've yet to try but will be trying in the near future.

How I use it:
As an oil treatment in my hair. I put some in a shot glass which I then put in a cup of hot water so the oil melts, making it easier to use. Once it's melted I apply it from my roots to my ends combing it through for full saturation. It's best to leave it in overnight but I just throw my hair into a fun bun once it's fully applied and leave it up for a few hours and then shower rinsing it out. I have noticed my hair is much softer and not only that but I unfortunately have dandruff and this has been helping! Double the benefits! Coconut oil also stimulates hair growth but I haven't been using it quite long enough to notice a difference in that area.

Eye makeup remover
There are a myriad of makeup removers on the market. To even test all of them could take an eternity! Did you know coconut oil makes a fantastic eye makeup remover? I know there's a lot of people who don't like their face to feel oily but  for someone with dry skin such as myself not does this only do a fabulous job of breaking down the makeup it hydrates the under eye area. Once again there is double the benefits!

Moisturizer
The fatty acids in coconut oil help to reinforce your skins natural lipid layer which locks the moisture in the skin and the antioxidants help to smooth out wrinkles. I may only be 23 but I've been using this around my delicate eye area to hopefully prevent signs of early aging. I can already see fine lines just underneath my eye, oh no!

To try:

Oral Health
I would have never thought you could use coconut oil in your mouth, I've read that because of it's anti-fungal and antibacterial properties gargling with it can promote better oral health as it kills any germs/plaque leading to healthier gums and fresher breath.

Highlighter
I might try this sooner than later. I feel like it could make the skin look a little too oily. For me, I have dry skin so it could turn out amazing. You never know until you try right?

Autumn Tag ♥

                              Image result for Autumn

Hey everyone. I found a fun Autumn tag that I'd like to share with all of you as I never really do tags. I thought it would be fun and maybe you'll learn something new about me!

1: Favourite thing about autumn?
I love the changing colors of the leaves, that is by far my favorite thing about fall as it just such a beautiful time of the year to watch the leaves turn from green into shades of brown, red & orange. Vampy lips and smokey eyes are another favorite thing of mine in Autumn.

2: Favourite drink?
To be honest I pretty much only drink tea & water year round. In the fall though I do tend to drink more berry based loose leaf teas from David's Tea  & a sneaky hot chocolate every now and then. Tim Horton's white hot chocolate is to die for!

3: Favourite scent/candle?
I've only recently jumped onto the candle train but I'm a huge lover of vanilla scents and I've been wanting to pick up a pumpkin scented candle to see how I like it.

4: Favourite Lipstick?
For fall my favorite lipstick would have to be the Rimmel Kate Moss Lasting Finish lipstick in the shade 107. A stunning deep berry shade that would flatter many skin tones. Like I said before I have a serious weakness for dark lips during this time of year,

5: Go to moisturizer?
I have yet to find a "favorite" or "go to" moisturizer. At the moment I'm using the Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer which come winter will most likely not be heavy enough for my constantly dry skin but for now the Aveeno is doing an okay job.

6: Go to colours for the eyes?
I love using browns and orange tones as well as berry toned shades. I've come to love a dark cranberry shade in my crease to smoke things out a bit.

7: Favourite band/singer to listen to?
Can't say I have a certain artist or genre of music I listen to at a specific time of year, I pretty much tend to listen to a variety of music throughout the year. I'm completely of guilty of listening to Christmas music before Halloween though, oops.

8: Favourite outfit to wear?
I am such a boot & scarf girl. I love wearing ankle boots in the fall with leggings of course and then a loose long sleeve with an infinity scarf thrown on top to tie it all together & an over sized cardigan. Easy look that you can't go wrong with.

9: Autumn treat?
Pomegranate as they are only available during October it seems. They are difficult to eat but they are delicious!
I actually had one in my lunch today.

10: Favourite place to be?
I love to just stay at home and cozy up with a good book what with the weather getting cooler and all. On the nicer days though I do like to leash up my dog and head up to the wooded hill behind my house for a nice relaxing walk through the bush.

I tag everyone to do this and leave me a link below so I can see what you guys love about Autumn

OOTD - Purple & Gold

Sweater/Skirt/Tights: Thrifted
Necklace - H&M
Boots: Forever 21

Purple & Gold might just become another favorite color combination of mine.

My friend actually gave me a bunch of clothes to look through last night that she no longer wanted and I picked out this purple knit sweater which has lace up the sides of the arms as well which I thought was such a cute touch. I'll need to take a picture to showcase them. She also gave me this color blocked skirt which is great for work!
Looking at this outfit I just realized everything aside from the boots and necklace was given to me from other people.

I hope you guys like this look

OOTD - Wine & Camel

Scarf - Call It Spring - Similar
Blazer - ASOS
Dress: Thrifted from my mother
Boots: Call It Spring

I think wine and camel has grown to be one of my favorite color combinations.
Living in Alberta the winter tends to make an early appearance and this year was no exception. Colder weather means more layers, and who doesn't love layering? I know I do.
I didn't have to wear too many layers as it isn't quite cold enough for that yet but I still loved how this simple look for work turned out. I even had to take my blazer off at work as it is quite hot in the building.

What are your favorite color combinations for winter?

Skincare --- fresh

A few months back it was my birthday and naturally being a makeup lover the first place I headed was Sephora for the birthday gift. This year you had a choice between a Marc Jacobs set including I think it was an eyeliner and a lipstick, could have been a mascara or lipstick I can't quite remember. Or the fresh set which included a deluxe sample of the Fresh Soy Face Cleanser & a sample of the Fresh Rose Face Mask

My monthly skincare budget will definitely be increasing after trying this cleanser. I've used many face products, mostly drugstore as I can't afford to splash out on everything. Nothing until now has removed my makeup like this does! It removes makeup like a dream and keeps my skin moisturised even though EVERY other cleanser I've tried has sucked any moisture out. If it weren't for the temper mental temperatures in Alberta I'd say this is moisturizing enough to not have to use moisturizer after the fact.
I've been using this daily for the past week to cleanse and after the first use I couldn't believe how much makeup was removed in one swipe and I wear pretty heavy eye makeup day to day. Not many cleansers have been able to get off makeup so well or smoothly. Stubborn eye makeup say good-bye. Most of the other products I've used I've had to go in with a face wipe as well to get everything off and had to scrub my eyes which we all know isn't good for you.
Using daily I haven't seen any redness or break outs and it was very mild feeling on the skin, didn't even make my eyes irritated or red like many others do. I would recommend it to any sensitive skinned folks.

Now...the not so fantastic product, the Fresh Rose Face Mask, pictured below.

I've almost used it up but I found that all this did for my skin was make it feel nice and cool as it soaked in. Other than that this did nothing for me and the fact the rose scent smelled a bit like vomit to me was a major turn off.
This mask is rated quite highly on the Sephora website and I don't see why. This claims to help dryness, redness & pores. For me it didn't fix or even help any of those problems.
The mask is infused with real rose petals which is a nice touch, I'll give them that.

What products from fresh should I try next? What are your favorites?

In the news: High Fashion? or Drug Promotion?

*please note: the images above are not mine. No copyright is intended.

Moschino's new "Capsule Collection" for Spring\Summer 2017 has sparked quite the controversy recently. The collection created by the Moschino deigner Jeremy Scott is full of items that are said to be glorifying drugs which you can see above. There is actually one bag from the collection that resembles a prescription pill bottle (the model is holding in first picture.) A Minneapolis based drug and alcohol counsellor Randy Anderson created a petition to have the collection removed from stores including Saks Fifth Avenue. Nordstrom has already removed the products from their shelves and their website due to the controversy and feedback of customers.

The collection is said to be glamourizing pill popping & promoting prescription drug use.

I was perusing the internet today and came across this story which sparked my interest. I've seen many controversial products on the internet long before this happened and never heard complaints, maybe because it was from lesser known brands?
I do however believe we live in a world where people are very impressionable and at very young ages where people really need to think before they do. I disagree with the message this line gives off but I don't know if it was intentional either. Moschino tried to defend the designs by stating that they never intended to promote prescription drug use. That may or may not be true but they should have expected backlash from the general public when the United States is in a drug epidemic, worse than they've seen in years.  Jeremy Scott is not new to controversy in the fashion scene but maybe this time he's gone too far?

I really want to know your thoughts on the manner?
I myself signed the petition and will leave the link below for anyone else who would like to.

Do you think Moschino intended to promote drug use?
Should it be pulled from stores?

F A L L N A I L S - with E S S I E

Hey loves!

Please excuse the not so neatly done nails. Originally I wanted to do Halloween themed nails which I did attempt multiple times to be honest....although I could not get them to work out so they were painted then taken off, then repainted so on and so forth. I first had them painted all black then tried to add spiderwebs using a white polish but that failed, then I tried again with the same black base but adding the words boo! and unfortunately those didn't work out either. I clearly need much more practice in the land of nail art...

I did want to follow in the deep color trend of fall though so I used Essie - After School Boy Blazer which Essie describes on their site as a blue-black. On my nails however this comes off much more of a dark purple then navy, still a beautiful color but not close to what it's described as.
Essie's polishes are quite pricey retailing at $11.99 a bottle in Canada. You'd expect at that price to be getting a polish that would last you more than a day. Within one day there was quite a bit of chipping around the tops and edges of my nails. I hear people rave about Essie all the time and I have to tell you, please don't believe the hype. For $11.99 there are SO MANY better polish brands out there.
Essie does have a phenomenal shade range but that is about it.

Do you guys love Essie?
